Mar 01 2023

Absolute classics abound on this album, which also features some great 'filler' tracks and is excellently produced. There's a reason it's often considered their magnum opus, and I can't disagree with that opinion. Bangers from start to finish.

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy
Mar 02 2023

very cool album with some bangers and some other just solid edm vibers

Mar 03 2023

this was really mid. perhaps would have been good as an ost but as a listening experience in its own right it was not all that interesting, and the monologue in the last track without any context at all was quite off-putting. not my cup of tea.

Like A Prayer by Madonna
Mar 04 2023

okay ngl this is actually REALLY good like the number of times i went "oh it's THIS song!" was ridiculous, bunch of huge hits with that signature 80s madonna feel to it. very solid!

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly
Mar 05 2023

ok i mean in-a-gadda-da-vida is an all time track in its own right but it does ALLLLL of the heavy lifting on this album, everything else feels like filler building up to it. that being said the title song is good enough on its own to warrant a solid rating, but everything else is very mid in comparison.

Time Out Of Mind by Bob Dylan
Mar 06 2023

unfortunately doesn't hold a candle to his all timers like blonde on blonde or highway 61 revisited, but time out of mind still has your normal high-quality and well-produced assortment of dylan songwriting, scratchy voiced vocals, and bluesy backing arrangements.

Run-D.M.C. by Run-D.M.C.
Mar 07 2023

maybe i just don't 'get' 80s rap, maybe this isn't their best work, but it's just a miss for me. too used to higher production quality modern rap, i guess

Fishscale by Ghostface Killah
Mar 09 2023

very good beats very good lyrics very good features but it kind of drags on, if some songs/skits had been cut this would be an all-timer but it's hurt by the fact that it's just too long

Mar 10 2023

i'm not sure how to feel about this album. listening to it in 2023, it has aged *really* poorly in many ways. the lyrics are incredibly raw and real, but they go too far by today's standards in many cases. that being said, it's still a remarkable display of eminem's songwriting prowess, and i can't take that away from it.

Pyromania by Def Leppard
Mar 11 2023

bro this is just the quintessential 80s glam rock idc what anyone says it's good as hell

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Mar 12 2023

live albums are super super hit or miss and this one didn't really do anything for me, definitely has some of their better tracks but i don't feel this is an improvement over the studio versions

Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Mar 14 2023

i mean janis joplin is undeniably great but this just did not do it for me sorry

A Seat at the Table by Solange
Mar 15 2023

this album just purely vibes. her voice is immaculate and the production is incredible. float along with the music kinda album that i can get behind

Modern Kosmology by Jane Weaver
Mar 17 2023

kind of a nothing burger? it's alright but sort of bland, not really my taste

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Mar 18 2023

like it's just so beastie boys it hurts but you can't help enjoying it

Odelay by Beck
Mar 19 2023

you know normally i like beck but this one really goes off the rails with the whole 'experimental' vibes and it doesn't work for me

Solid Air by John Martyn
Mar 20 2023

you know i like folk country vibes a lot but this album wavers constantly between 'this is really good' and 'this is really average' in a way that doesn't let me rate it any higher

Let Love Rule by Lenny Kravitz
Mar 22 2023

lenny just does something solid for me man i love his style of songwriting and lyricism

Ray Of Light by Madonna
Mar 26 2023

i am not sure if i have ever been more bored in my life

Let England Shake by PJ Harvey
Mar 27 2023

i literally could not finish this album which may be a first for me

Miriam Makeba by Miriam Makeba
Mar 28 2023

like i dunno world music just aint my thing boss

Mar 29 2023

good album very classic talking heads vibes and of course take me to the river is one of their all time bangers

Liege And Lief by Fairport Convention
Mar 30 2023

i don't think i get it

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Mar 31 2023

kinda enjoyed this more than i thought i would not gonna lie

Good Old Boys by Randy Newman
Apr 02 2023

he's just trying too hard to be edgy or what

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Apr 04 2023

absolutely an all-timer even if the live versions of some these songs (or at least hallowed be thy name) blow the album versions out of the water

Seventeen Seconds by The Cure
Apr 05 2023

i don't know what i expected tbh but i was just kinda bored
