Thoughts: really, really impressed with this one. I only knew south side coming into it (and porcelain, but didn't realize it beforehand). I love how diverse the album was - each song felt like a new experiment, but it all felt tied together also. Tons of different instruments and genres as well. I can't help but feel like this inspired a lot of the music I listen to now (among many other sources). Overall I'd give it a 9/10
Overall I enjoyed the album. My two favorites were, of course, 'Star Man' and 'Ziggy Stardust' (and the only two adds to my list). There were several others I also enjoyed, but I really didn't care for the remaining 2-3. I'm pretty 50/50 on his voice; some tracks I do enjoy it and others I find it kind of grating. My favorite part of the album is 100% how well the guitar shines through - imo the songs end up feeling catchy, yet still creative. As opposed to our previous album, I enjoy the slower/midtempo stuff a lot more than his 'upbeat' songs.

This one was okay. I enjoyed the sound enough and wouldn't mind listening to a song or two here or there, but it felt pretty repetitive and one-dimensional as a full album. If it were a full mix, I don't think I'd be able to tell any of the songs apart from one another, lol. Nothing added to the playlist, but I probably wouldn't turn it off if I caught it on the radio
6/10
Just not for me at all. Not a fan of any part of this album from the singing, to the style, to the instruments. I feel worse for having listened to it, and don't think my bar for music goes any lower than this.

I was actually pleasantly surprised with this album - initially I wasn't too thrilled to pulled a second Bowie album in the first 6 days of this journey, especially one so recent. However, it has a different sound than I was expecting and to be honest, doesn't really sound like what I think of when I hear 'David Bowie'. The songs seemed unique enough that it kept my interest throughout. I didn't actually add any songs to my playlist, but it definitely warrants another listen soon.
6.5/10
I usually enjoy her voice, but this album was dreadfully boring. To be honest, this barely qualifies as 'music' to me - it seems much more like uninteresting rambling to her personal diary. Nothing on this album stood out to me in any way. Boring songs, no variation, very little instrument on most tracks, extremely uninteresting lyrics. This album was bad, and she should feel bad.

I will admit, I was not too hopeful when I read the Wiki description, which lists it as "Scottish sophisti-pop/ambient". Thankfully, labels aren't everything, and it resulted in a really interesting album. I will admit, I'm pretty biased as I typically love the 80's synth-y sound. I was still very surprised to find that this album held up throughout. It reminds me of a Psychedelic Furs/Thompson Twins vibe, without being a copycat. Loved the overall sound and I feel like his voice fits in perfectly. The only thing it's missing is a true standout 'hit', but there wasn't a bad song on the album imo. Nothing was added yet, but I will be re-listening and adding 2-3 for sure.
8/10
I was not a fan of this one. This is pretty much the complete other side of the 80s spectrum as far as what I like. The sound wasn't too bad, but I really didn't enjoy the singer. my favorite song was the short instrumental, really wish they had included more of that.
2.5/10
Loved this one. I knew 2 songs coming in, both on my list, and added 3 more. Great sound all together. There were a few songs I liked notably less than others, but nothing I would say I 'disliked'. Classic album of one of my favorite eras, hard to go wrong there.
9/10
I liked this one somewhat. Not really my type, but nice enough and better than the average song on the radio. No real dislikes. Knew several songs coming in, none on my list and none added. Overall an enjoyable listen.
6/10
Agreed, just not a fan of the Ramones. The album sounds like one long song, with each track feeling exactly the same as the last. I'm thankful for the influence they had on music to come, but this album (and the band in general) is a miss for me.
2/10
This was a pretty enjoyable listen. I've never heard of him before, but I like this style a lot. A little slow at times. Great background music, while also the type of act I'd love to see live. No notable takeaways from the album on the first listen but definitely on my list to try again soon.
7/10
Loved it. Very diverse sounds across the whole album, feels ahead of it's time. I'd love to hear modern remixes/sampling with most of the songs. I added 3 or 4 while listening and will definitely be back soon. I'd be interested to hear the live set from Freestyle '18 as well. Overall a great early entry in the field of downtempo.
8.5/10
I figured this would just be a fun name/cover, with average/bad music - boy, was I wrong. I really loved this one for a number of reasons. Wide range of instruments help create a diverse vibe, jumping between orchestral rock and psychedelic experimentation. The title track is my favorite, but I enjoyed every song on the album, and added 2 total. I actually listened to this on the way to work, and then again on the way home, and have a feeling I will be listening to this one a lot in the future. This album is exactly the type of stuff I came into this project searching for.
9.3/10
This one was just not for me. Sounds very similar to other bands I've heard. The melodies themselves weren't terrible, but I really, really dislike the singer. Not really a fan of any 60s music similar to this.
1.5/10
I enjoyed it. Good background music, although I didn't mind focusing on it either. I like longer songs so that part was kind of fun too. It all sounded pretty unique (especially for the time). Overall, a fun enough listen.
6/10
Enjoyed this one a lot. Love the whole feel of the album, especially the more "space rock" songs - reminds me of early Pink Floyd, but with their own original twist. I really liked the title track, stay with me, and cop shoot cop. No dislikes. Very solid all around, will be listening again in the future
8/10
To be honest, I didn't know anyone even made music like this back then. The songs could all stand to be shorter, but I did enjoy the beats/style, especially Europe Endless and Abzug. Some songs were a bit boring, but nothing I specifically dislike. I did enjoy the fact that they reuse samples/loops throughout different songs - reminds me more of a live show format. Will probably listen to this again soon, as well as check out more of their stuff.
7/10
I actually enjoyed this a lot more than I expected. Nothing too special, but it was a fun listen while driving to work. There were a couple kind of annoying parts, but really not as bad as i was anticipating. Nothing saved, but I will be listening to the album again soon to dissect it a little more closely.
6/10
I really like the three songs I knew coming in, but unfortunately the rest of the album didn't really do it for me. Above average and would listen to it on the radio, but I don't see myself listening to anything I didn't already know in the future. Still a good listen overall.
7/10
This was a fun, albeit bloated album. I'd say the album is 50% murder rap, 25% comedy, and 25% soapbox, lol. While the first half of the album had some hits, he gets a little carried away with the second half. Personally, I do find him likeable enough that it doesn't bother me as much as others might. While I enjoy his style of rapping, the beats are really what I enjoyed from this one. Ended up adding the two songs I knew well from this. Overall: a fun, playful, yet murder-centric listen.
6.5/10
Strong dislike. Just not a a fan of British punk rock at all. Too much yelling, every song songs almost exactly the same. Way too 'angsty' for me to enjoy at all. I don't think there are any bands like them that I enjoy.
2/10
Not bad, not great. Still not really in the realm of music I like, but not quite as bad as some of the others 60's stuff we've gotten. His voice is okay but gets old pretty quickly imo. Okay sound. Nothing added from this one
4/10
This was an enjoyable enough listen. A little slow for my taste, but I do enjoy her voice and the overall style of music. I liked 3-4 songs in particular, and only really disliked one (seriously, wtf was that acapella track?). A nice background album. Will probably listen again at some point and will likely add 1-2 songs.
6.5/10
This album is like if you took a good jam band and a good punk band and put them together to create a great band. Love the overall sound - seems ~20 years ahead of it's time, reminds me of some of the heavier jam bands I enjoy. Even though most of it sounds similar, I never felt like I was listening to the same song over and over like many other punk bands. There were maybe a handful of songs I didn't enjoy much, which is pretty impressive for an album with 43 songs. Will definitely be listening again soon.
8.8/10
This one felt very average. It's not a bad album per se, but it fails to really stand out to me in general. I enjoyed the ballads/slower stuff more than the 'poppy' songs. I'd probably leave it on in the background if I heard it on the radio. Nothing added to the list, very doubtful that I'll return to this album.
5/10
Not my favorite punk music, but not as bad as I originally thought. A few of the songs were just too much, but I enjoyed the two slower ones (New Intro and Sinews). The rest of it was pretty average to me. Not something I would go out of my way to listen to. Nothing added to list.
4/10
I thought this one was okay. A little above neutral all around, it made for solid background music. I like the singer but didn't care much for the guitar overall. I feel like they'd probably be a lot better at a live venue. No favorites, but no real dislikes. Nothing added to the list. I don't see myself seeking this out to listen again, but I wouldn't change it if it was already on.
5.8/10
I think I heard them on the radio too often before also, but that feeling has faded - I enjoyed this album. Under the Bridge is one of my favorite songs of theirs (already on my playlist), and just a great song in general. The rest was enjoyable enough, wasn't expecting that much funk but it wasn't a negative at all. No overly annoying songs imo. I did realize that I enjoy later RHCP more than the early stuff like this. Good listen overall.
7.3/10
Not my favorite Beatles album, but I enjoy a few songs and don't dislike any. Enjoyable listen overall
6.5/10
This was a pretty fun album. I enjoy techno quite a bit lately, especially with the clear metal influence that this one had. The songs were a bit repetitive, but that's just the nature of the genre. I would love to see a lot of this mixed into modern sets. Could definitely see myself enjoying this in a warehouse or stage on the edge of the woods at 3am.
8/10
Surprisingly enjoyable. I like her voice a lot, and just the general vibe of more relaxed country. Definitely a bit repetitive, but there were at least 2-3 songs I specifically enjoyed. Will be listening again soon to figure out what to add.
6.8/10
Not bad, not great. Didn't realize it but I knew two songs coming into it... Those ended up being my least favorite, lol. The rest was decent, but nothing I'd go out of my way to listen to. Pretty generic classic rock one might hear on any classic rock station. Nothing added.
5.5/10
This one was enjoyable. It does seem somewhat unfinished to me - feels like they *almost* found the sound they were shooting for. none of the songs captured my interest individually, but I like the sound of the album as a whole. good one for rainy days. nothing added, but i could see myself listening again in the right mood
