1001 Albums Summary

Pretty good. A little too glam pop metal for my tastes (they did more or less define the genre), but I still liked it. Was good enough to make me listen to some of their older albums, which I did not enjoy. Possibly some of their work after this one will be decent.

I quite liked this album. Its very short and all the songs are short as well. Nothing about it was amazing, but it just felt nice to listen to.

I hated this. With a passion. Hard to express how much. I think maybe it reminds me too much of a different time in my life. Or maybe I just really dislike this type of music.

Not for me. Loud discordant. I had a hard time getting thru even 30 seconds of any track on the album.

I liked this album. This is the album that their big hit 'Last Night' comes from. Overall a fun, casual listen.

It turns out I don't really like Bob Dylan.

Really liked this one. Kind of radio friendly rock in the vein of Elton John or Billy Joel. A little more mellow than both. But really enjoyable.

I've never listened to a full Beatles album before. Really great. There's a reason they are one of the biggest bands of all time.

Another artist who is so well known for a reason. Really enjoyable listen.

Thought this was great. Old school upbeat R&B. It’s the album that the track ‘Who’s that Lady’ is from.

I listen to metal somewhat often, but I just have never liked Venom. It just doesn't feel like music to me. I can see how their style influenced 80s thrash metal, which is one of my favorite genres. So I can at least appreciate that even if I dislike the album.

Better than the other Bob Dylan album I listened to, but there is just something about Dylan that grates on me.

Sometimes a style of music is just not for me. This is one of those cases. Even the best songs on this album I found to be just OK.

This double album wasn't not for me. It felt like I was listening to the same song on repeat for the 2 hours.

Some really great songs on this one. Sledgehammer and In Your Eyes are really good. There are a few mediocre songs in the mix too, but overall really enjoyable listen.

Oof. This was not good. The 2 famous songs, "Stop" and "Been Caught Stealing" are pretty good, but the rest of the album is downright awful.

One of my favorite albums of all time. Metallica and a Symphony Ochestra is a match made in metal heaven.
