If it was more punk and less ska, I'd like it more. Not bad otherwise.

Out there but very cool. More Kraut rock is always a good thing.

In the 80s, this would have been considered scary or frightening. Today, it sounds dated, goofy and really dumb. They had no chance of reaching Metallica levels of success.

First time hearing these guys. Pretty damn cool. Will delve deeper into their discography.

Didn't click with me.

Not bad. Quite mellow. Singer sounds like Nick Cave. Would need to be in the right mood to listen to it.

Discovered them a couple of years ago. I like them quite a bit. Very moody and atmospheric. This should have been in the original list.

Solid choice. Dug this one. Good mix of post punk and new wave with a healthy dose of cynicism.

Didn't know these were the guys that did the theme for The Sopranos until today. Cool.

Standard blues rock affair. It's fine.

I've had this band recommended to me but I couldn't get into them. They're slowly growing on me but the singer's voice is a drawback. If they did strictly instrumentals or had a better singer, they would rank higher.

Enjoyed this one. Has a hint of darkness without losing its sense of playfulness.

So bland and dull. The male vocalist is grating. His terrible Tom Waits impression on Liar’s Bar dooms this album to the drecks.

Talented musicians but not entirely original. Sounds so much like early Genesis especially Fish who is very influenced by Peter Gabriel. Not a bad thing. It’s just I’ve heard it before. Good. But falls short of great.

Don't get the appeal for this band. I know they're popular and have commercial success but they don't click with me.

Funky. Chill. Solid vibes all around. Even though he had serious problems mentally, there is no denying Jaco's musical aptitude.

The album grew on me more and more as it went further. I still think Trouble Will Find Me is their best album but this was solid as well.

Not his best album but still a decent listen. Known more for his thoughtful/borderline Christian lyrics, Cockburn is an underrated guitarist and his playing shines here.

Brilliant album by the best band on the planet.

Surprisingly liked it. Different from the rest that's been suggested so far. I think we need more instrumentals. Not just jazz but even bring back rock instrumentals. I'd put this on on my personal 1001 list.

Huge back in the day and it still thumps today. These guys know how to get a dance floor going.

I liked it. I know the reviews for this one aren't great but I enjoyed it. Different for sure. Not saying David Byrne wasn't important to Talking Heads, of course he was vital. But this shows the other band members to be just as critical as well.

Irritating voice. Way too long. I can see why some like it but this didn't work for me.

Utterly superb! A game changer! Should have been on the original list. This is one of my desert island albums. So dark, haunting and creepy yet stunningly beautiful.

This is one instance where the book was right and omitted a popular album. I always felt Out of Time was vastly overrated and my opinion of it hasn't changed over the years. I'm in the minority in saying this but I absolutely cannot stand Losing My Religion. Never liked that song. Automatic For The People and Green are better albums than this one.
