1001 Albums Summary

Coffee shop playlist... music for not listening to.

Had never heard before, except "What's Golden" which I heard a TON in a video game... I think Tony Hawk's Underground? Or maybe an ATV game. Something on my PS2. Anyway. The album rules.

Low 4 imo. Pretty general punky whatever. It's good and fine but nothing revelatory for me

Really good. I like earlier Elvis a little better. Wearin' That Loved On Look was a highlight for me.

Always struck by how different Paul Simon's albums sound from one another yet maintain a very distinct Paul Simon-ness. Cars ARE cars!

Big Iron absolutely whips. I'm tempted to say that was totally attributable to positive associations built while playing Fallout New Vegas; however, I like the rest of this album a lot! Cool Water and El Paso are highlights. I'm learning through this exercise that I like corny pastiche-y music. It's fun! I'm not sorry!

Low end of 4 stars for me. Really nice sound, very much enjoyed it, no real standout songs though. Nothing really grabbed me.

Rambling? No song felt like anything to me. Not my style and even for this style of music just nothing interesting going on here for me.

Awesome. Really interesting. River Man, 'Cello Song were standouts.
