okay so… this album started off and I was like “I kinda dig this”. And then the yelling began. I don’t really know how to explain my reaction to this. I listened to the whole thing through because I was in such a state of bewildered confusion. How could they make such good music, and then just… yell over it? Constantly? And the Saxophone! What a delight! But then also… the yelling! Not A delight! two stars.
I love utah
I had no idea what to expect, but I ended up really enjoying this. No funny review this time because I listened while working and haven't any deep thoughts.
I generally really enjoy this era and style of British Invasion rock. The kinks have always been a favorite of mine, managing to be somewhere between The Who and The Beatles in a way that really works for me.
Real good. Nothing detailed. Wild how his voice changes over his career
Way too whiny
