Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Oct 22 2023

First album! I liked it :) Especially the first song. Got a bit samey half way through, and Alexa cut it off stopping a timer, but it was either finished or nearly finished.

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
Oct 23 2023

Good, and nostalgic. Got a little bored by the end of it, but may have not been in the right mindset.

21 by Adele
Oct 24 2023

Some really good tracks on this, and I hadn't heard Lovesong before. Some tracks did feel a bit like filler.

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Oct 25 2023

I liked it! Thought it would be too middle of the road and a bit boring, but it was good, especially the later tracks on the album :)

Born To Run by Bruce Springsteen
Oct 26 2023

Never really been a fan before, but enjoyed listening to it.

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Oct 27 2023

Parts of it were good, especially the beginning, but overall not for me.

Oct 29 2023

Pritty good! It's clear that everyone in the 70s was taking lots of acid!

Bongo Rock by Incredible Bongo Band
Oct 30 2023

Surprisingly good!

Pornography by The Cure
Nov 01 2023

I REALLY want to love the cure, and some of their songs are great, but I'm afraid I find much of their stuff, including this album, quite dreary :(

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Nov 02 2023

Never listened to the full album before, but loved it! Lots of energy and it was fun :)

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Nov 03 2023

Quite liked it, and a few really good ones! Some did get a bit samey.

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
Nov 04 2023

Quite good, I like Neil Young. Some songs a bit boring.

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Nov 05 2023

Not a fan of this one I'm afraid. Sounds like a jam band, and I do like them, but this one was just quite rambling and all over the place.

Rust In Peace by Megadeth
Nov 06 2023

Not really my style. Some of it is fun.

Elephant by The White Stripes
Nov 07 2023

Absolutely love this album. Every song is amazing. No fillers. Brings back lots of memories :)

Kala by M.I.A.
Nov 08 2023

Never heard the full album before. Feels quite raw. Liked it.

Berlin by Lou Reed
Nov 09 2023

Loads of people love Lou Reed, and I can understand why, but unfortunately I just find it dreary.

Boston by Boston
Nov 10 2023

The first song is brilliant, and then it is all a bit samey after that.

This Is Fats Domino by Fats Domino
Nov 11 2023

Really good! Not necessarily one of my go to types of music, but this album is brilliant. Fun, and really well put together :)

1999 by Prince
Nov 12 2023

Not really for me unfortunately. 1999 is a good song though!

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Nov 14 2023

Brilliant album, loved it! Brought back some good memories too :)

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
Nov 16 2023

Good album! Didn't love every song, but good overall :)

First Band On The Moon by The Cardigans
Nov 17 2023

A bit meh for me. Lovefool is great, but wasn't in love with the rest.

Low-Life by New Order
Nov 18 2023

Meh, not really for me

Raising Hell by Run-D.M.C.
Nov 19 2023

Good, but not as good as I hoped.

Rejoicing In The Hands by Devendra Banhart
Nov 20 2023

I liked most of this album, nice and chilled. Unfortunately a few songs were quite whiney and dreary.

Dummy by Portishead
Nov 21 2023

Every second of this whole album, from start to finish, is absolutely excellent! :)

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Nov 23 2023

Parts of this were good, but overall it isn't for me as it is too jazzy.

Group Sex by Circle Jerks
Jan 25 2024

Well that was a bit of fun! Wouldn't listen to it all the time, but did enjoy it :)

Apocalypse Dudes by Turbonegro
Jan 26 2024

I'm afraid this one is a hard no for me. I'm sure others will like it, but for me it is really bad pop punk with nothing to it. I've listed to all albums so far from start to finish, but couldn't do it with this one and stopped half way through! Even tried listening another time, and still didn't like it at all.

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jan 27 2024

Now this is a really good album, with some excellent songs on it! Knocked it down a star, as there are a couple songs that aren't as good. Overall love it though!

Real Life by Magazine
Jan 28 2024

Unfortunately not for me this one. Not really much substance to it, and a bit dreary :(

Smokers Delight by Nightmares On Wax
Jan 29 2024

Quite good! I've listened to the odd song before, but never a full album, Quite liked it, and good for music to write or read to! :)

Ill Communication by Beastie Boys
Jan 30 2024

Well, I must say I was surprised by this one. I was really looking forward to it, and whilst there are some amazing standout tracks, I've got to say I didn't enjoy them all :( To give them credit, they did span quite a few genres!

1984 by Van Halen
Jan 31 2024

A bit of fun! A few stand out songs, and the rest was a bit meh bit still fun.

Feb 01 2024

Quite an interesting album. Definitely goes on a journey all over the place! Liked parts and not others. Interesting listen though!

The Suburbs by Arcade Fire
Feb 02 2024

This has been a great discovery for me! I was aware of the band and had heard a few songs before, but never really gave them more than passing interest. This really is a great album that can be listened to from start to finish, and since it came up on here, I have done several times. I was really unsure if I was going to give it 4 or 5 stars, but considering the uncertainty, I've gone with 5, but consider it a 4.5. Really enjoyed this!

Stankonia by OutKast
Feb 03 2024

A well put together and unique album. A few great songs on it. Knocked it down a few stars just because I wouldn't listen to the whole album again as it isn't my style of music.

Post Orgasmic Chill by Skunk Anansie
Feb 04 2024

I can see why other people like them, but I'm afraid it just isn't for me.

Truth And Soul by Fishbone
Feb 05 2024

So I did like the range of different genres, and they are skilled to be able to do that, but the whole thing was quite middle of the road (sorry!)

Melodrama by Lorde
Feb 06 2024

Haven't listened to the full album before, but it is really good! Enjoyed that listen, and would happily come back again :)

The Man Who by Travis
Feb 07 2024

Quite meh really. Completely inoffensive, but middle of the road. I could have it on in the background and not really notice that I've listened to it. Definitely didn't hate it, but quite generic.

Third by Soft Machine
Feb 08 2024

Well, I'm not quite sure where to start with this one. It is certainly experimental. I'm not the biggest fan of jazz, and I just found this way too much for me - rambling all over the place, and a lot of it just noise. I've made a concerted effort to listen to all of the albums suggested on here in full, even if they are not my thing, but on this one I struggled to make it half way through the first song, and just skipped through the rest :(

The Slider by T. Rex
Feb 09 2024

Enjoyed this! I know the band vaguely and have heard a few songs, but never any albums. Quite enjoyed this one, and saved a number of the tracks to my library. Love the tonality and sounds of the album :)

A Hard Day's Night by Beatles
Feb 10 2024

This was always going to be good! Some excellent songs on here. Slight debate between 4 and 5 stars, but I could easily listen to the whole album and not dislike any songs, so it gets a 5 :)

Cut by The Slits
Feb 11 2024

Hah, well that was a bit of fun! I was really unsure at the start of the album - it is very much all over the place, but I really enjoyed it by the end!

Strange Cargo III by William Orbit
Feb 12 2024

I wasn't sure if I wanted to go with 3 or 4 stars for this one. Its a good background album for writing and reading, which are always great, but some of it was a bit boring. The first track was great though!

Jazz Samba by Stan Getz
Feb 13 2024

I'm not a fan of Jazz at all, so don't trust me here. I did find it more bearable than some Jazz, so 2 instead of 1 stars :)

Vulnicura by Björk
Feb 22 2024

Good! Its Bjork, so it was always going to be weird. Some of it was a bit difficult to listen to, but the opening track Stonemilker is good :)

Feb 23 2024

This is a good album, but unfortunately it's just not my style of music. Doo Wop is great though. The guy who keeps chatting throughout the album, however, is not. Sad to only give it 3 stars, but again, it just isn't my type of music :(

Parklife by Blur
Feb 24 2024

Well I was hoping to give this one 4 stars, as I thought it would be a bit of fun. There were a couple of good tracks like Girls & Boys and Parklife, but much of the rest of the album, particularly the second half, felt like filler and was quite boring sorry :(

Oar by Alexander 'Skip' Spence
Feb 25 2024

I was quite unsure about this one! I really liked the first half, and it reminded me of Lord Huron. Easy to listen to when writing or working. The second half of the album sounds like someone mumbling with a guitar in their bedroom, but then I checked the Wiki page, and it turns out that tracks 13 to 22 were added at a later date and were in various stages of completion.

Felt Mountain by Goldfrapp
Feb 26 2024

Well, that was an experience! I felt like I was in a dream sequence for 40 minutes! 4 stars for the novelty. Sort of makes good writing music too.

Purple Rain by Prince
Mar 05 2024

Holy wow, that was a good album! I've never heard it before, but do know and like When Doves Cry & Purple Rain. However, this was so good I had to listen to it twice in a row. Really well put together, everything flows, and the whole album is a great listen :)

Loveless by My Bloody Valentine
Mar 06 2024

My Bloody Valentine - My bloody hell that was a difficult listen! I'm afraid the whole album is just a droning noise. I should like this as I like the Velvet Underground, etc., but this was just painful :(

Blue Lines by Massive Attack
Mar 07 2024

Yeah this was ok. Unfinished Sympathy is great. The rest of the album is good as background music, but overall feels a bit more unfinished than the sympathy!

I Against I by Bad Brains
Mar 08 2024

Bit of middle of the road generic rock. Didn't particularly stand out unfortunately.

At Newport 1960 by Muddy Waters
Mar 09 2024

This is a good live Muddy Waters album! Enjoyed the listen :)

Mar 10 2024

This was really good! Especially for a debut album! A few really good standout tracks too :) Never listened to a full album of theirs before.

The Who Sell Out by The Who
Mar 11 2024

I was really looking forward to this one, but unfortunately it wasn't quite what I was hoping for. It is good, and there are some good songs, but just didn't have the impact of some of their music, I don't like the fake adverts throughout it. Maybe I listened to an extended version, but 23 songs felt like too many :(

So by Peter Gabriel
Mar 12 2024

Well I was pleasantly surprised by this! I'm not a fan at all, but its a well made album that didn't bore me, and I enjoyed it much more than I thought! I few good tracks too :)
