1001 Albums Summary

The Curtis Mayfield album was a solid first recommendation from this list. The opening song had a great baseline, and several songs were good representations of '70s funk. Great use of wah pedals on the guitars. I really enjoyed the album, and I think several songs could be mixed in to regular play, especially for parties.

Great Neil Young album. Quintessential.

This was a blast from the past, there's a lot more sampling of other hit songs that I remembered when I listen to it a long time ago. Clearly influential, because some songs sound like other artists that came later.

The piano composition is excellent. The music feels a little dated to me, like it's more appreciated by a previous generation.

Pink, short, felt a little dated.

Some monotony / droning guitar. I would have liked it even more a long time ago. Still worth adding to rotation.
