Diamond Life took me right back to the 80s Quiet Storm era, which those lush r&b vocals. Reminded me of Anita Baker, Seal, Chaka "the wrath of" Khan, etc. It was music 20something John thought showed a more adult taste. (20 year old John might have been a bit of a poser.) Good stuff, not sure it makes it into the rotation.

You know, as much as I love Nevermind this really wasn't my jam. I mean, I get it, and I love the artistic courage of following up the best grudge album with a more punk-focused release. But it just didn't work for me.

Took me back to the days when I was just starting to learn guitar and trying to get it to sound like Boston, and Van Halen and other MONSTERS OF ROCK!

I loved it. I think there is something relaxing about this type of rap.

The don't call him Van the Man for nothing.

One of my fav listens so far. I like their later stuff more, it's more mature but this is still a great listen.
