Great feel good live album. Every song falls nicely into the next. The real definition of soul and r n b. Will definitely be checking out more Sam Cooke.

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Jan 09 2024

I wasn’t expecting too much when I saw that Meat Loafs Bat Out Of Hell the was the next album to explore, however I was pleasantly surprised. It’s easy to see why this 1977 rock opera of an album is loved worldwide. It’s a well written, produced and recorded album of singalong anthems and toe tapping Melodie’s. Coming off the back of the success of The Rocky Horror Picture Show it compliments the rock opera/musical Genre. Highlights were two out of three ain’t bad and dashboard.

Green by R.E.M.
Jan 10 2024

Overall I didnt find it too much of a chore to listen to this album. I expected nothing more or nothing else and that’s exactly what I received. Didn’t find the mandolin on a few of the tracks was needed whatsoever. It’s a little like ordering an orange juice with bits of pulp. The little added extra bits won’t make the taste anymore refreshing with or without them. A little pointless. Highlights:- Stand Orange Crush

Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Jan 11 2024

An absolute phenomenal album of epic proportion. This album debuts the melodic charm of John Michael Osbournes vocals on slower songs such as changes. Tony iommi once again shows us the dark, riff driven guitars from suburban Birmingham. Hard to believe it’s 50 years old and fascinating to see where heavy rock/metal would be without this groundbreaking release. Also it’s said they spent more on cocaine than it cost the album to make. Enter the song - snowblind. Perfection.

Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor

Seamless, enjoyable and exotic listen. Will be revisiting.

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash

It’s hard to find any fault with this piece of music history. A compelling listen that always makes me wanting more. Sublime.

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Jan 17 2024

A great melodic, rhythmic and energetic album. Various changes of musical styles compliments Simon’s vocal and lyrical approach.

Beyond Skin by Nitin Sawhney
Jan 19 2024

A collective mix. Tends to drift into different directions and makes it hard listen.

Toys In The Attic by Aerosmith
Jan 22 2024

Some good songs for a band still trying to find their feet. Unfortunately not for me.

I Am a Bird Now by Antony and the Johnsons

Didn’t hate it. But this is the outcome of a narcissist with a Casio keyboard.

Parachutes by Coldplay
Feb 20 2024

Not a huge Coldplay fan. But can’t deny great songs. Accompanied with well thought out lyrics and on the whole well produced. You don’t have to get something to appreciate it.

Too Rye Ay by Dexys Midnight Runners
Feb 21 2024

Feel good nostalgia.
