Great vibe, fun listen. A little long and while I appreciate the game show theme it will hurt it’s replayability.

Have listened to this before once or twice. I don’t know how to describe it but it’s so tonally rich and all-encompassing. The whole album has such a cohesive vibe of darkness, haunting emotion and overall eeriness but also beauty and delicateness. A stunning album.
Some really enjoyable tunes on here - Suspicious Minds is an all timer. Musically this is super enjoyable but some of the ballads start to venture into Elvis parody when he’s crooning. Probably hasn’t aged as well as some albums from the same time. 3.5

Quite enjoyable late 60s rock. The first half has some diverse tunes. The second half is so interesting. For some an absurdist concept it could fall flat but it’s good. The skits will likely hurt replayability.
It’s a fine grunge record but nothing groundbreaking to my ears.
Only knew Randy Newman from the Toy Story song so to hear Rednecks for the first time was real whip lash. Great concept album, beautiful music

Very enjoyable and the one-two punch of the opening tracks is amazing.
Interesting album. You can hear the bands that this influenced throughout. It’s probably not something I’ll revisit but I respect it in the context of when it was released and what followed.
Pretty interesting album. Only ever listened to Ziggy Stardust before so didn’t know what to expect. The title track remains a banger, the rest of the album was good without blowing me away. The Brian Eno second half was really moody, though feels disjointed from the first half of the album.

Never been a Pink Floyd fan. Musically this album is amazing to me but Roger Waters vocals grate on me for a lot of it until Comfortably Numb which is an amazing track. Overall not something I’m going to revisit. I appreciate the scope but it’s so long and self-indulgent.
I’d only listened to the Queen is dead (which I liked). This felt like a great progression. While Morrissey is a cunt, I can’t deny the Smiths were a great band
Great production with the soul samples. It’s cool hearing early Kanye production. Some of the lyrical content probably hasn’t aged that well but it’s hard to deny the energy and flows from Jay. Really enjoyed it
I enjoyed it but like many classics I think it suffers from what came after it. It probably doesn’t sound as groundbreaking as it originally did, but the musicality and overall feel of the album is still great.
It’s a great album. I’m never a fan of skins on albums, they just date the album and hurt the replay value for me. It loses a star for that
I quite liked this. I wouldn’t say it’s anything groundbreaking but it’s a collection of really well written folksy tunes with a nice variation in sound. Having said that, the back half did blur together a little.

Sexy and engaging
Went in with low expectations based purely on the cover art.. but it’s actually a really nice mix of grunge and pop. Also love My Beloved Monster from Shrek - never knew who sang it. I’ll revisit this for sure.
Not for me. The songwriting verged into bad musical theatre territory a few times and it just didn’t really land for me. I can appreciate the music and vocals, and it’s easy to hear all the artists that this inspired.

Smoooooth. I’ve listened to “i” by Kendrick Lamar so much that it’s hard not to hear that with the opening track. This is a relaxing, vibey, summer breeze of an album.
What a strange experience. At first I hated it, then about halfway through something clicked and I loved it. I think the first half is a bit too off kilt for me but the storytelling and songwriting in the second connected better. I probably won’t listen again but I can sort of see where it’s coming from.
I was in two minds about this while I was listening but I enjoyed it quite a bit. The country twang isn’t something I’d usually gravitate toward, and some of the songs didn’t quite land, but overall it was a solid listen.
