The Lady - sampled in 'I' - Kendrick Lamar Listen to the Music - certified banger Album cover = all time poses & fashion
Can't beat the opening organ note of Green Onions Simple concept for album cover, executed v well 33 second mark - guitar used in a Pitbull (?) song I want 'Stranger at the Shore' played at my funeral Comin' Home Baby - inspired I'm a Man, Yes I am (?)
Great album to start the day with; coffee drinking music - also good for dinner parties Reminds me of Charlie Brown Listening to multiple takes of the same track was a bit tiresome, not a huge difference between takes
Sneaky 4 stars. Wasn’t into it the first time around, but second time around it was a solid listen through.
Groovy morning music
Slide guitar on "Your Time is Gonna Come" is a nice touch - really like this track as its one that hasn't been played to death on the radio - organ is so good Good album but radio play has killed some of the tracks for me
Shades of Portishead & massive attack but vocals are much better Groovy morning music
Not a fan...unpolished but not high energy enough to make up for it imo
Sympathy For The Devil is an all time opening track The piano is Jigsaw Puzzle is incredible Piano being heavily featured on this album is *chefs kiss*
Five tracks in, somewhat unremarkable album. Nothing has really stood out to me at this point. Situation Vacant is fun, guitar in the chorus is a nice touch; love the piano in the background.
What more is there to say about this album that already hasn't been said? Complete album from top to bottom, its influence is still being felt today in hip hop Never will get tired of this album
Girls & Boys - did not realize this was a Blur song. All Timer. Not at all what I expected from a Blur album, pleasantly surprised. Debt Collector - not expecting a polka song, not a fan Bit of a lull mid-album but ends strong
We've only just begun is a classic Love is Surrender is an odd song for a brother/sister duo to sing Not really my thing, but the vocals are nice Carpenters version of 'Help' was excellent Another Song was out of character for the album, probably my favourite track from the album
A little too "ballady" so far, not as funky as anticipated Album cover is great though Boogie on Reggae Woman is more what I was expecting You Haven't Done Nothin' SLAPS Please Don't Go ties the album together well; a nice mix of ballad, funk & soul - encapsulates feeling of album
Solid album, nothing "spectacular" but a very complete album that was enjoyable to listen to start to finish
