Duke EllingtonLoved the whole thing. Listening to the drum solo in “Skin Deep” I thought I was going crazy hearing a double bass drum which I didn’t think had been popularized yet. Turns out this drummer, Louie Bellson, is one of the double bass pioneers from the late 50s. He was metal before metal was a thing.
