Everything in terms of the instrumental is very crisp, and complements the almost weird and slightly on edge vocal delivery extremely well. This album is very easy to enjoy and feels like an adventurous and nostalgic summer day.
The singer of this band has a lot of control over his voice and a nice resonant tone. The instrumental is good, and there were times in the album I thought were great but I didn't find anything too special. It isn't the music I'd usually listen to but I have fun listening to it.
I wonder why this album is even on this list. I just cannot bring myself to enjoy this at all and my ears had a visceral reaction while listening. The vocalist is not in tune in some points(which can work but not how he does it) and his tone just makes my ears uncomfortable. The tunes stick in your head but you get a headache as a result. I hate speaking negatively on any type of music but this album truly dissapointed me and was very hard to even try listen to without wanting to rip out my ears.
Kinda cool, kinda confusing and pretty mid. I feel like there are some nice moments but then there are those which don't make sense and don't sound too good at all. I think the band is good, but not great. The vocalist is also ok and is bordering on the sound of struggle( as well as the lead guitar at some points). I would not listen again.
Enjoyable to listen to. Nearly every song from this album sounds like the theme song to a classic movie that feels comforting to watch. The band and musicians are really on point, there was one song where I felt the guitar overpowered the vocals but thats it in terms of bad stuff to say. The vocalist is really good and his control of vibrato and tone are impressive. My favourite songs were "Groovin'" and "I don't love you anymore". This album was pretty good and I would listen to some of the songs again.
Pretty good, nothing too memorable though in my opinion. The band and singing was good. It is not usually the type of music I would listen to. I don't have much to say.
It was fun to listen to, I liked how much attitude he put into his singing, but none of it really resonated with me. I can see how people would like it but it just isn't my thing.
Very good. Easy to get into the musical world this artist is creating. Coll effects, interesting musical direction and his voice keeps you in awe. Would listen again.
Thought it was gonna be in french. I really enjoyed this album I thought it was very funky which I liked. The vocal performances were solid and the music was really fun to listen to. My favourite song was "at last I am free". Really good nostalgic vibes and very fun album.
Not usually the kind of music I'd listen to, and would probably not listen again. The effects of the music were kinda cool and groovy but the songs got repetitive and I found didn't really have any substance or anything I could connect with. The vocal delivery was strange, at time I felt the vibrato was weird(oscillating in sound rather than pitch? It was just strange) but I suppose the phrasing was creative? I didn't really enjoy this album but I do think the music was interesting in a way.
I like queen but I didn't resonate with this album. I thought the instrumental and singing was good like the vocal performance had attitude in a good way, but I just couldn't really get into any songs. This was not the kind of music I really listen to. I wasn't the biggest fan of this album.
I actually did enjoy this album. I need to get used to the style of singing as I wasn't the biggest fan of it, but I thought the music by the band was really cool and musically interesting which I liked.
Thought it was gonna be in Japanese. Did not expect it to be this funky, I have to say I didn't really vibe with this album unfortunately, it just wasn't my thing. Maybe I'll like it in the future but for now I am not the biggest fan.
I enjoyed listening to this album. The band was really good, and I thought the singing was good too. I do not usually listen to this type of genre but I felt this was fairly easy to get into in terms of being an outsider to this kind of music.
Some of the songs where quite long which I enjoyed. Insane level of guitar playing, musically quite complex and will definitely take me a while to get into as I do not usually listen to this type of music often. I see why Jimi Hendrix is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. I feel that people who actually play electric guitar would appreciate this a lot more than me. My favourite song was "Have You Ever Been(To Electric Ladyland)".
There was a lot to this album. A lot of songs were in a different genre. I did enjoy some of them, especially the first song which was very orchestral. There is not doubt to how good the singer is. However overall it wasn't really my thing, may need to listen again.
One of my favourites. Timeless. A classic. Everyone musician on point. Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Bill Evans on the same album is having 3 jazz gods on the same album. Bill Evans is my favourite jazz pianist and he does not disappoint. His is of almost blocky chords is just so incredible. Obviously Miles Davis's playing just out of the world. This album makes me feel like I'm floating in the best way possible. The improvisation of this album is stellar and is spontaneous in an artistic and calculated way. I cannot say anough about this album. Everything is exactly what is needs to be while being adventurous and interested.
Very long. Not my kind of music kinda nice to listen to? The music had some good melodies, I don't know if I agree with the singing. I probably will not listen again.
Very disco-y. Cool effects, musical direction? Not the type of music I'd usually listen to at all. I probably wouldn't put this on by choice. Some of the sounds just felt like they were on to annoy the listener.
I am gonna be honest did not listen to all of this album. I do not usually listen to this type of music. Probably wouldn't listen again. All of the elements like the singing and instrumental kinda blend together;whether that be a good thing or a bad thing, I don't know.
I like the songs on here, I am unsure about the singer. It is clear he has skills and he has a good sense of musical phrasing, but just coming from listening to jazz where these songs are sang so much differently my ear is not used to it. I got nostalgic feelings from this album. I thought it was good but it is not my préférence, but it is enjoyable.
Really good album. A lot of musical variety and skills on show and every piece was a flavourful experience. I didn't expect the Beatles to sound like this at all, I now understand why they are one of the greatest. I will probably listen to this album again.
An essential jazz piano album. Very famous, for good reason. This album is just pure vibes, everything from the lucsious harmonic approach that is effortless on Evans playing, to the on point accompaniment from the bass and drummer player, this is a musical masterpiece. I love how you can even here the audience tapping cutlery off the plate, and indistinct chatter it just really adds to the feeling that I am actually in a jazz club. I love this album and it conforts as well as amazes me greatly.
WOWSERS. Aretha Franklin is absolutely the queen of soul and it is easy to see how her voice has greatly influenced many vocalists today. I loved listening to this album, her extremely expressive and passionate musical power and interpretations really make this album fantastique to listen to. The background singers and band were also killing it.
Not the music I'd usually listen to tbh. I honestly don't have much to say about this, I didn't really enjoy it.
Super 80s. I shall have to listen more.
This was not something I usually listen to. I appreciate the passion and attitude the singer has in his delivery but I don't know if I enjoyed the album as a whole. The only song I really vibes to was "I got one for ya".
Very fun album. I can see how she has influenced many singers, she has a very unique and powerful voice and is clearly a really technically good singer. I enjoyed listening.
I enjoyed this album. I am a fan of jazz so probably ginna be a bit biased in my review. Tbh there were only a few moments that really caught my attention. This was probably very imaginative for it's time. I'll probably have to listen again to get an actual opinion on it.
I really enjoyed their last album so I have no doubts that this one will be good also. Again even from just the first 2 songs I am loving the vibes, they are really easy to listen to and musically the songs are super funky and interesting. I am loving the vocal performances and arrangements the harmonies feel like a breath of fresh air. This album is just overall very fun to listen to and I'll probably listen again and often.
No sorry I honestly just couldn't listen to this it wasn't my thing at all. I don't really get how you can enjoy it, though it might be for a certain mood that I just don't have often enough. It just wasn't my cup of tea so my rating unfortunately will be low.
I love this album. Very funky. "Funky sex music" as Jack has said. Very fun and easy to listen to and everything in terms of the backing tracks and cocals are all really good. His voice in moments reminds me of Micheal Jackson.
Really enjoyed this album. Everything was on point and really engaging and fun to listen to. Will most definitely listen again. The vocal performance was really emotional and kept me hooked in. The band were amazing and together it just worked so well. I can't wait to keep listening to this album, it isn't a genre I usually listen to but this might be the start of my journey into it.
Did not listen please ignore the rating.
