1001 Albums Summary

Some good songs are on this album. My wife compared a few songs to the Everly Brothers which I see as fair when listening to the harmonies. The second to last song is experimental and I can do without. Sound like they had been up for 3 days on speed - which they probably were!

I enjoyed the latino rythms in most of these songs. The songs that got a little too "rock n roll" weren't as good. Of course the hits off this album are special songs!

I have listened to this album many times over the years, and unsuprisingly I think this is a seminal piece of rock 'n' roll history. So many familiar songs. Madman Across the Water (the song) is one of my favorites.

I was introduced to this album many years ago when I checked out the book that this generator is based on out of the library. At the time I downloaded as many of these albums as I could find, but this one ended up in my favorites list. A great reggae classic!

This album certainly flew under my radar when it first came out. Being from the US, I think we were inundated with Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, etc. at the time, so I don't think this got much airplay. I don't remember seeing it on MTV. Listening to it last night, it is a solid rock album. Great songwriting and guitar work.

Better than I remembered it

I can't believe how many songs on this album were hit singles. This was a groundbreaking album from my teens and was always on the radio or jukebox throughout the next 20 years

First song was good, but after that it started sounding like art rock from an 80's British band - oh wait - that's what it is! Not my cup of tea.

This is my wife's favorite band so she told me I had to give it 5 stars! Lol...

I really like this album. The old country music mixed with lang's amazing voice is a memorable combination.

Decent punk rock album, even though I'm not a big punk rock fan. I especially liked "Smash it Up"

One of my all time faves. I think I heard somewhere that this was the first heavy metal album. My favorite song is Hand of Doom

I love this kind of jazz. It reminds me of early Miles and Herbie electric jazz.

A classic British rock album with songs that have been part of my life for a long time.

The only reason this wasn't 1 star is because my wife recognized and liked one of the songs from her childhood.

This was better than I thought it would be. Sounded like a James Bond movie soundtrack.

It was okay. end of album better than weird beginning
