Popular Reviews

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young

Annoying that Spotify would not let me listen to half the tracks but this is a classic

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Jan 27 2024

Eh. It sounds a lot like the Smiths. Some songs are better than others.

Repeater by Fugazi
Jan 28 2024

Not early morning music.

Shalimar by Rahul Dev Burman
Jan 29 2024

Maybe a good example of the category, it's hard for me to imagine a scenario where I would go back and put this on

Back In Black by AC/DC
Jan 30 2024

All the tracks basically sound the same, which is to say this whole album makes me want to rock out with my cock out.

Vulnicura by Björk
Jan 31 2024

wtf. thumbs down.

The Real Thing by Faith No More
Feb 02 2024

A mix of several of my least favorite bands from the era, as well as some of my least favorite parts of bands I do like (RHCP).

Crocodiles by Echo And The Bunnymen
Feb 04 2024

Solid, in a very Clash-y way

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Feb 05 2024

Annoying that Spotify would not let me listen to half the tracks but this is a classic

Elephant by The White Stripes
Feb 06 2024

Seems like it should be a 5-star because there are so many bangers, but there are actually several tracks I don't like on here. Still a great album by a great band

The Rising by Bruce Springsteen
Feb 07 2024

Surprisingly not bad despite the cover and timing within his career

m b v by My Bloody Valentine
Feb 09 2024

I don’t know if it deserves to be in the same category as Bjork, but I didn’t enjoy this. Maybe Bjork should have been a 1

Revolver by Beatles
Feb 10 2024

One of the best by one of the best

Scott 4 by Scott Walker
Feb 12 2024

Interesting. Was not expecting this.

Kid A by Radiohead
Feb 13 2024

There is definitely a payoff for repeated listenings, though I can't help but sympathize with those who have called it "pretentious" and "deliberately obscure" and "more fun to think and write about than it is to actually listen to" and "look-ma-I-can-suck-my-own-cock whiny rubbish" (from a British critic, no less). 3/5.

Timeless by Goldie
Feb 14 2024

I would need more time with this. Not good morning music for Ders

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Feb 15 2024

Several bangers. High degree of nostalgic enjoyment, but a great example of a category I don't love.

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Feb 16 2024

A few lulls, but mostly classics

Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
Feb 17 2024

Used to listen to them all the time. Re-listened this morning and wondered why

Be by Common
Feb 18 2024
Stardust by Willie Nelson
Feb 24 2024

Really lovely. Makes me want to sit in a hot tub and get high under the redwoods
