Maverick A Strike by Finley Quaye

This album is so legit. Good period. I am so thankful to the list for turning me on to this record. I would have never heard otherwise in my life ...so so good. I do recommend..

The Poet by Bobby Womack
Mar 01 2024

Dig it. Its one of those albums that i know i would be blown away to see it live. Just listening casually is just ok so far.

C'est Chic by CHIC
Mar 11 2024

I dont get it so far. I mean its ok but. A one hot wondr in love with the word chic. Some decent musical compositions but also seems like muzak background music for a clothing store maybe?

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Mar 12 2024

Its fine. I knew this album already. Linkin Park was good. I don't feel like they changed the musical world or anything tho.

British Steel by Judas Priest
Mar 19 2024

Priest never disappoints. Consistant true icons of metal

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Dec 30 2024

You can't trust people that don't like tribe.

Debut by Björk
Dec 31 2024

Bjorn is ok. She was a cool cooky kid when she started. I respect that. Not my genre tho.

Arc Of A Diver by Steve Winwood
Jan 01 2025

Steve Windwood songs are either Great!..or just meh. hit great tunes hit hard and this other stuff just melds together and sounds the same. This album has a like 2 great songs but overall i respect the man and his work.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Jan 02 2025

Hell yes Tom Petty is atop Rock Royalty. Effortlessly poured out important music his entire life.

The Only Ones by The Only Ones
Jan 03 2025

Decent album. Sound often like The Violent Femmes on downers. All of the tracks with heavier guitar and faster tempo are my favs.

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Jan 06 2025

Never was as enthralled as most people with the Almonds but I do respect the musicianship, the following and contributions of the band. So I'll rate it high.

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Jan 07 2025

Elevator music at a fancy hotel? Or soundtrack for Love Boat or Fantasy Island? To quote the legendary music critics Beavis and Butthead - "Uhhhh....what the hell is this crap?"

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Jan 08 2025

Love the Zombies! This album is ok though. The one hit song is an absolute epic game changer for the decade but the rest of the songs on the album don't come close to the same impact in my opinion.

Live! by Fela Kuti
Jan 10 2025

Worth the listen. I got in to the 60s keyboards. The rest of the music is a bit repetitive for me.

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Jan 13 2025

Great album. I had recently discovered it a while back and love it. The Passenger is one of my favorites. Good Stuff.

The Next Day by David Bowie
Jan 14 2025

Bowie is solid as always. I always like the popular stuff but began to really respect the man later in life. I am totally on a Bowie kick for a while. Great album.

Is This It by The Strokes
Jan 15 2025

The Strokes is always good vibes. I always dug them when they first came out. Been well over a decade or more since I've gave em a listen. Good stuff.

Superfuzz Bigmuff by Mudhoney
Jan 16 2025

32 Songs!! At first, I thought no f'n way. But started it and loved it all the way. To say you hear their influence on Nirvana and Butthole Surfers types is a gross understatement. This is a recipe book used by every band that got famous in the 90s era.

Maverick A Strike by Finley Quaye
Jan 17 2025

This album is so legit. Good period. I am so thankful to the list for turning me on to this record. I would have never heard otherwise in my life ...so so good. I do recommend..

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Jan 20 2025

Every time I hear someone mention this guy, they give him so many accolades period I have never met a person in real life that has said to me, man, you've got to listen to this guy. Elvis Costello, he's amazing period he sounds average to me. It's a song Every song I hear from him is a song that if it came on the radio, you would turn it down. The volume about 5 notches and just let it play in the background. I can definitely appreciate that. He may have influenced a bunch of ska bands. Later he seems like one molecule in a few tempo.Speeds away from sounding exactly like the mighty mighty boss tones or vice versa

Rock 'N Soul by Solomon Burke
Jan 21 2025

Jist sounds like another album from the era. Nothing special stoodnout to me.

OK by Talvin Singh
Jan 22 2025

Decent background music.

At Budokan by Cheap Trick
Jan 23 2025

Great album. Great genre. Great decade for music.

Marquee Moon by Television
Jan 24 2025

Decent new wave era album. I can see if you were alive then and part of this scene how it could have a following.

Urban Hymns by The Verve
Jan 27 2025

Never knew the existence of their music outside of the one song. If I would have listened to this album in the 90s I would have loved it.

Hotel California by Eagles
Jan 28 2025

Um the answer is always hell yes regarding the Eagles. This is an album i reserve my 5 star ratings for

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Jan 29 2025

Love the girls and the era. Not sure the album in its entirety is that significant ot great as a whole.

Vincebus Eruptum by Blue Cheer
Jan 30 2025

Blue Cheer was obviously shooting in to the same vein as Hendrix. They even have a track about shooting your ol' lady down.(Parcent Farm). It's cool to hear another band who was in that bridge from heavy blues to heavy metal..

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness by The Smashing Pumpkins
Feb 03 2025

Smashing pumpkins were never my favorite band regardless of that, their music found its way on to the soundtrack of my life. I had never listened to this entire album and didn't even realize it was a double album, but it is something that you can definitely listen to in its entirety.
