Rough punk sound. Interesting to listen to, but punk isn't for me.
Decent recording, but not my style
Listed to some of it. Not mu cup of tea. 5/10
Still listening
Excellent album
Still listening to it. Experimental. It's okay so far.
Very 80s sounding. Synth pop, but not my style.
It was okay. I am not sure why this was a #2 album in the US, but then again, rap isn't really my style.
List listening
Not for me. I missed the whole punk era, and this one didn't grab my attention.
Nah, not for me. Never really liked The Cure beyond that song from The Crow.
Nah, not for me.
Not for me.
I remember this album when it came out. Bitter Sweet Symphony was a huge hit, but I thought it was repetative and dull. After listening to the album, it just doesn't do it for me.
Not for me. The voice, the limp songs.
First song good. Not rest.
It was okay. Was a similar listening experience to The Ramones. If you're into punk it'll be good. If you're not, well, not so much.
Not for me
The movie is plain terrible and incredibly mysognystic. The music sucks a bit too. The song Purple Rain is weird 80s rubbish. When Doves Cry is pretty good.
Sensational album. The sound is a bit tinny and under-produced, but it still has it's own charm. Top tracks include Starman and Suffragette City.
Not bad. Didn't realise it was a double solo album. I remember Hey Ya from the radio, but the rest was a bit of a slog to get through. Much prefer Andre 3000's album to Big Boi.
It was okay, but nothing really stood out to me.
Not my mug of milo. Some good sounds, but very eclectic and weird.
Eclectic, weird, easy listening, but nothing that really grabs my attention.
Nick Cave is always a slog to get through. If nothing else, he is at least intense and you can't accuse him (or the Bad Seeds) of writing flippant empty songs. Some good tracks here.
It's different, disjointed, and will appeal to people who like arthouse films that aren't commerically successful. Overall I can't say it's an enjoyable listen, even if some of the tracks were better than others. It's not really good as background music either.
Not a fan. It's samba-y and whatnot, but I'm not a fan
It's not bad, but I can't do Bob Dylan's voice for an extended period. Not for me.
Entirely forgettable. Brit pop sucks in my opinion, even the stuff that is catchy. If this was "number 2 on both the NME and Uncut critics' poll of the albums of the year for 1999" - good lord. 1999 was a dull year in British music.
Not on Spotify. 0/5
I haven't heard much of The Who (this might be the first album actually I've listened to), but it's very twee 60s Britpop. It's easy enough to listen to, but there's nothing much going on here for me. Maybe in the 60s they were influencing much of the music we take for granted today, but there's no songs here I'll revisit.
Lots of stripped down (I mean, there's realistically only so much you can do with a guitar and drums) tracks. Seven Nation Army is, of course, the stand out track, but I found many thers that I liked. Overall it's a good album.
They had a couple of catchy tunes (over a few albums, anyway), but overall it's pretty bland. Less annoying than Britpop, but just the American version of it. Generally unoffensive, but also uninspired. Easy-ish listening, but little to find exciting.
Although it's a neat way to get all sorts of random music I probably wouldn't otherwise listen to, this website kind of sucks, as it tries to force me to get a new album every day. Unfortunately, I don't alweays have time to do this, so I would rather than it let me update my new album when I'm ready.
Not doing it for me. Old-school style music.
Rubbish. Repetative and dull.
