I don't have much to say about this one. It was nice, it was relaxing. Favorite song: Poor Boy
Classic Frank, great album, not much to say. Favorite Song: Lost ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I dont speak the language but I wish I did. It was a bop, started off strong and ended peacefully. Weak 4 but it got there. Favorite song: Sekou Oumarou, Petit Metier really close 2nd.
Disc 2 turned this weak 4 into a strong 2. Disc 2 is mostly garbage. Disc 1 has some good songs but I think USSR and Obla Di are very overrated. However While my Guitar Gently Weeps and Blackbird are heat. Shame they made a double.
I get it, I just don't love bob's voice and his mostly amateurish harmonica playing. I like some of da Bob songs but none on this album.
I'm giving it a 3 because of the inspiration it must have garnered for the genre moving forward. However the album for me was a 2. I found myself not enjoying it a majority of the time. However, I did really enjoy 2 tracks in specific: New Dawn Fades and Shadowplay.
Didn’t really love any of the features until cee-lo at the end. However, almost every outkast standalone song was stanky as heck.
I really enjoyed this. I took some personal liberties to listen to sex machine after the last track before the single versions (which I did not listen to because I already did). Favorite song: Everyday People and I did really enjoy sex machine. 4 stars from this whitey
Didn't know Ex-Factor was the sample in Drakes song Nice for What. The slowed down original sounds really good. The R&B songs were absolute heat but some of her rap songs were iffy. Specifically Lost Ones I thought was honestly really tough to listen to, however forgive them father was really good. Great features. Favorite Song: Ex-Factor
pretty jammin, I didnt love any one particular song but I enjoyed all of them
This was my introduction to the album a day gambit. I was in the car with anthony and kerri and after 2 songs I was like can we please switch the music this has been PLENTY of alice in chains. I like it for a song or 2 but I can't do the vocal style for more than that. He sings like hes mocking himself if that makes sense lol. Favorite Song: Them Bones
Great sound, no skips, solid album. Month of may and deep blue go hard.
The start of the boys' psychedelic journey. Amazing opening 3 songs and A Day in the Life is an incredible closer. Heat. Get in, Lads.
At first I thought that this is something that would be on in my parents kitchen while they're cooking. Then I saw that Donald Fagen is the lead singer for steely dan and thought it could be on at any point in the house. It sounds like my moms music sung by the lead of one of my dad's favorite bands. But enough about them. Besides Ruby baby and The Nightfly (which I honestly thought were terrible tracks lol), the rest of the album is so smooth and enjoyable. Lot of great jazz and although Donnie sounds a little nasaly at some points, the vocals are there. However, the songwriting leaves a bit to be desired. Favorite song: IGY or New Frontier Weak 4 but it made it there.
B was horny asl in 2014. All bangers.
Good band making good music, not much else to say from me. Favorite song: The one I love (by far)
Also listened to this one in the car with Anthony and Kerri. I think it was a little worse than I thought the whole album was going to be but I still enjoyed it. I don't think I would listen to the album in its entirety again however. Favorite song: BoRap
Nice 80s pop with some variety throughout. Faith is a banger but overall the genre is not my favorite. But I appreciate it. Very strong 3 but not quite a 4.
Following each interlude was a complete change in vibe. It was cool Favorite song: Jump n shout
I knew a couple ZZ top songs but was not familiar with their game. Pleasantly surprised by this one. Lotta great guitar and very well polished. Just music that makes you say Hell Yeah. I really wanted to give this a 5 and if the album ended at La Grange it would have been an easy decision. But the last 2 songs and then the 3 live versions of previous songs brought it down to a 4 :( Favorite songs: Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers and Hot, Blue and Righteous
Amazing flow throughout, great features. The commentary after almost every song grew on me after a couple songs. I started to look forward to them like what’s next in the story. Exceeded my expectations. Favorite song: the mask but it was hard to pick. Snuck into the 5.
Fantastic sounds, relaxing, memorable songs. A couple songs I had to skip a couple because they like to do this thing of repeating a line/riff combo for 3 minutes before ending the song. Favorite Song: Bridge over troubled water
I don't have too much to say. Kinda boring, didn't love it. But it was relaxing and enjoyable for the most part.
Metal is not usually my thing because most of it is terrible. But when its done well, like here, its really good. This album was very similar to a lot of Metallica's less popular songs. The transition from postmortem into raining blood made me sopping wet ngl and double bass rustles my britches a little. A few of the songs felt like filler but most of them were unique in their own way. The solo on aggressive protector was siq. Favorite song: Angel of death, it might've been raining blood but that song is the only one I can't beat on expert in guitar hero. Do not @
very strange in a sometimes fun way but I thought it was mostly nonsense lol. However thats fine sometimes if youre in the mood.
The first half was like an english project but then the second half of the album was completely different. Seems like they had a 15 minute art installation then threw in some songs at the end, although it was a peaceful easy listen. America and At the Zoo are the same song, change my mind.
Felt uninspired, 0 bangers, seemed like a product of the label milking everything they can out of the 4 fellas. This album was everything I dislike about the beatles. Favorite song: Roll Over Beethoven; honorable mention to mister postman.
not really my cup of tea but it was nice :)
Best voice in classic rock imo. The album evokes many emotions, ups and downs in the lyrics in every song. Favorite Song: Good Time Bad Times, Dazed and Confused is a close 2nd but it has that weird break in the middle that I don't understand.
(I am reviewing just the original album, the 12 songs) The og rock opera. Really felt like a musical instead of a traditional album because of the way it tells the story. most of the songs I can really picture being sung on stage. Holy fucking fuck that pinball wizard of yours is insane.
Some good songs, some pretty bad. I get tired of the vocal style after a few but I can appreciate it for a song or 2. The band is jammin tho, lotta good riffs and drums. Favorite song: walking on the moon
Groovy and jammin at the same time. I enjoyed just about every song.
The talking heads are hilarious. The vocal style could certainly be described as wacky and zany. I like to imagine all the band members looking around at each other like "get a load of this guy". However, I enjoyed the dynamic but I would need to be convinced to listen again. Psycho Killer really is a banger, not just a great rock band song.
smooth and finger waggin
I don't have much to say. It was good, not great. Last song was good
No blunders. Just bussin. Solid rock album.
The Kinks have a lot of better songs but none of them are on this album.
spooky type beats
If the wiggles made a rock album
Funky fresh but the repetition drove me insane
Greatest flow in rap ever, always smooth with it. Juicy is my favorite but the whole album is good. The grapefruit method at the end of respect was shocking but in character.
Fallout ahh music. Loved it. Favorite song: Let the sad times roll on
Really strong 4, it lost me a bit in the middle. Despite the foul language, walk of life is my favorite
Kerri
The first good beatles album chronologically, I actually really like this album. I've always loved Norwegian Wood and In my life is one of my favorites. But at this point they were still holding onto a little bit of that slam on the drums and yell nonsense sound that I never liked in their earlier albums. For me, this was their grass is greener album but Ringo got caught on the fence. Favorite song: In My Life, honorable mention to Norwegian Wood
This was unbearable but Public Enemy's influence was huge.
Jammas
Blur after Suede is funny because same era and genre but this was rubbish compared to suede.
Wrong Elvis. Got a classic in there tho.
Very pleasant. Wasn't really familiar with Willie's game before now. Seems like he was making music for folks holding onto a genre that may not have been as popular anymore in the 70s.
Beautiful but I dont want this much
It's not a phase mom.
mom ahh music
I meant it's alright
