1001 Albums Summary

6/2/24 listened to on barefoot morning run. the doors aren’t terrible but just haven’t seemed to be my cup of tea. standouts of this album is at the very end “oh this is the album with riders on the storm” i’ll give it a 5/10

6/4/24 listened to at work (very shitty workday) wasn’t too crazy about it. upbeat and synthy, not terrible but not my cup of tea. standout songs ‘hungry like the wolf’ and ‘new religion’ 4/10

6/4/24 not crazy about janis joplins voice. i like the heavy rock sound but the vocals take me out of it. 3/10

6/5/24 hate heavy metal, couldn’t even get through this whole thing. not for me 0/10

6/6/24 very much my speed. so smooth and easy to listen to. have to check out the rest of their discography. so many hidden gems i bet. 7/10

6/7/24 wasn’t expecting to enjoy this but not bad. good background noise. starts off with the classic “big iron on his hip.” most of these albums so far have been “oh so that’s where this song is from.” pretty neat 4/10

6/9/24 heard “worst band in the world” and was like damn where have i heard this song. plays in the beginning one of dave chappelles standup. i liked most of it, not bad. 5/10

6/11/24 not bad, never been able to get into bowies music but i’ve tried over the past year or so. enjoyed most of the songs on this one but there would be points where a song is just dragging on too long or there would be an annoying high pitch synth just blaring. 5/10

6/12/24 synthy and fun, wasn’t expecting much after take on me but was pleasantly surprised. decent album to run to. 6/10

6/12/24 not bad, every song is slow and kind of calming. good background noise for my walk/drive that morning. no real standouts though. 5/10

6/14/24 this one didn’t really hold my attention. didn’t finish it. might have to revisit it

6/14/24 Rest In Peace Benedict, gonna miss you man that shit made me so sad. hope god is taking care of you. album wasn’t bad but when you find out news like that i’ll never forget it, love you man.
