Intro: Nice humor. The Magic Number: good flow. Bit droning. Change In Speak: music a bit too loud to properly hear their voices. Cool Breeze on the Rocks: silly, delightful Can U keep a secret: asmr nope! Jenifa taught me: it’s fine. Droning again. Ghetto thang: good flow. Good switching. Message. Transmitting live from mars: different. I see what they tried to do. Eye Know: instrumentals are smooth. Take it off: transition piece. Bit of playing around. Message. A little bit of soap: I know the sampling. Tread water: symbolism. Message. Potholes in my lawn: message. Say no Go: funky sampling. Message. Good one. Do as De La does: crowd hype track. Plug Tunin’: message. De La Orgee: skipped. Buddy: artist hype track. Everyone gets a pat on the back. Throwback. Description: forgettable. Me myself and I: funky sampling. Skipped due to something in the instrumentals that bugged me. This is a recording…: message. Droning. I can do anything: beatboxing. Asmr again. Daisy age: instrumentals are distracting. Message. Decent. Very long.
Love those 90’s drums and guitar. Radiohead was, without me knowing (or understanding), such a huge part of my teen years. Thom Yorke is always a win. Straight up nostalgia. Fake plastic Trees is delightful. Sad sack music is honestly a jam. Hellooo Bones. Oh shit Just is on this. There is a a nice flow through the tracks. There are times where the instruments overpower his voice but it really only adds to the overarching feeling of the album. I have missed songs longer than 2 minutes 30. Released in 1995… fuck my life I am old.
Wonderful voice and just very timeless.
I am here for all the jazz albums! The different takes a wonderful. Drummer is on fire! So is the pianist and bass player.
Never really listened to him but he is delightfully entertaining. Lyrics are so-so but the instrumentals are fire.

First impression: skinny britrock. Additional notes: the guitar is wonderful. So is the bass. The drums do a fair bit of work. The guitar is a bit glam rock-y at times. It kinda just seems a bit confused. Vocalist is average.
Such a strange and entertaining trip this album was. Very dark lyrics set to cabaret-esque instrumentals. The at times grim images Ackles creates draws are quite relatable even today. We as humans really are creatures of habit - we repeat our ancestors mistakes again and again.
Album for the young and inexperienced when it comes to love and relationships. Growing up while navigating each other and the feelings that at some point will fuck us up.
The singer confuses the heck out of me. Guitarist is fire though. Bit of droning on. Looked up the singer. It makes sense now. I quite like it - it just scratches my brain funny.
Whoever decided on their levels should be smacked. But on the other hand a debut album is a debut album in all aspects.
Chill, mellow, hard hitting.
Very nostalgic.
It’s not highbrow or particularly heavy on the lyrics but her voice is easy to listen. Not the best but certainly not the worst either.
Pure nostalgia and one of the best albums made.
A classic album filled to the brim with song that will scratch your brain just right.
It’s a good album. May be one of my favorites to listen to when working, since the flow is smooth and the singers are not absolutely terrible.
A good album with quite a few amazing songs.
Trip and a half.
