Popular Reviews

I really tried but there is absolutely nothing for me to enjoy. In general I am very reluctant to giving 1-star ratings, but this gotta be my first one. I was actively waiting for this album to end. Added later: In the second part of the album there were few moments that I liked. When they just focus on riffs, the overall style becomes bearable. But not enough to redeem the majority of the album.

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Oct 04 2024

Opens with a banger Tiny Dancer. Nothing after that really made a mark in my memory. I liked the parts with backing vocals.

The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground
Oct 06 2024

First time listening to The Velvet Underground. Not very memorable. Probably won't come back.

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Oct 07 2024

It was alright.

With The Beatles by Beatles
Oct 08 2024

Very nice album. Went by very quick, so listened twice. Didn't notice any major hits.

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Oct 09 2024

One of my favourites albums anyway.

Joan Armatrading by Joan Armatrading
Oct 10 2024

It's alright. Playlist material.

NEU! 75 by Neu!
Oct 11 2024

Never heard of them before. Very chill, almost ambient. Interesting. Playlist material.

Oct 13 2024

Favorite Lynyrd Skynyrd album so far. Tuesday's Gone, Simple Man, Free Bird. Everything been on my playlists for long time already.

You Are The Quarry by Morrissey
Oct 14 2024

Never heard of him before. Okay album, but not very memorable.

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Oct 15 2024

Slightly annoying to jazzy piano in 2nd part of the title song. Other than that, nothing too memorable.

Oct 16 2024

It could have not existed, and I wouldn't notice a difference. I guess it could be a good background noise for reading, but other than that, I don't see a real value here.

Smash by The Offspring
Oct 18 2024

Good ol' pop-punk. Brings me back to my early teens.

Blue by Joni Mitchell
Oct 19 2024

👍

Joan Baez by Joan Baez
Oct 20 2024

I'm not sure I finished the album. I probably fell asleep. Having said that, those are still beautiful ballads.

Paranoid by Black Sabbath
Oct 21 2024

What other score could I give?

Aja by Steely Dan
Oct 23 2024

Nice.

Devil Without A Cause by Kid Rock
Oct 25 2024

Nu-metal and rap metal are not my things. Fifteen years ago, when I was starting actively listening to music, I would probably give it a 1 star. Today I was about to give it 2. Just before I did, I wanted to read up a bit more on him, and watched the 1999 Woodstock recording of the bawitdaba. And, damn, how pure it was back then. 90s might have started the downfall of music industry, but were a hell of a decade. Final answer: 3 stars - mostly by the comparison to today's music's lack of authenticity and enthusiasm.

Logical Progression by LTJ Bukem
Oct 27 2024

At first I though "meh, another ambient electronic music album". But then the energy hit me, and I realised I was working non-stop for an hour, while shimmying in headphones by my desk. Good stuff.

The Specials by The Specials
Oct 29 2024

Can't really go wrong with ska.

Oct 30 2024

Music From Big Pink by The Band
Oct 31 2024

Already had The Weight on few of my playlists, otherwise good, but nothing extraordinary.

New Wave by The Auteurs
Nov 01 2024

It was okay, but also completely unmemorable. Generic almost. I don't actively dislike it, but don't see the point being in this list.

The Coral by The Coral
Nov 03 2024

Not great - not terrible.

Nov 04 2024

Indie pop, but still just pop. Three songs I obviously already knew. It's alright, but nothing too remarkable for me.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Nov 13 2024

Dreamy, boring, harmless. Won't come back probably.

Is This It by The Strokes
Nov 15 2024

Generic forgettable brit-rock.

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Nov 16 2024

Few classic hits. Never listened to the whole album. Now I have, and I don't think it changed much.

Peter Gabriel by Peter Gabriel
Nov 17 2024

Solsbury Hill is unfortunately not enough to pull it up to 4.

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Nov 18 2024

Wouldn't it be nice is catchy. Rest is indifferent to me.

Out of Step by Minor Threat
Nov 20 2024

Finally some energy. My rating is probably biased after being starved by too many mellow rock albums in a row, but whatever. Punk's not dead!

Odelay by Beck
Nov 21 2024

The heck was that??
