The Birthday PartyNo!
No!
Everything kinda ran together for me. Shoutout to Mr. Brightside, Somebody Told Me, and Glamorous Indie Rock & Roll for being my faves on this album.
Idk if it was my mood or what but this album hit in the beginning. However, it quickly got too scream-y for me.
This was perfect to listen to to drown out the sound of my neighbors taking out his frustrations with a hammer through construction. Better than his new baby I guess? In all seriousness I actually liked this one and would listen again.
I feel like i would’ve loved this if i listened to it as an angsty teen.
I liked the music, not the lyrics.
Meh
Yikes
This was fun! I’ve been singing changes for like 24 hours now.
I feel completely neutral about this album.
Solid jazz album
I didn’t mind this, especially in the beginning. Not my thing but I can understand why it’s on here.
Okay not a fan of his voice but sometimes there were really cool music arrangements that I liked and then they’d be ruined imo by some crazy sound. I hypothesize Alex likes this album or will at minimum listen to it twice lol
Not really my thing but I didn’t hate it. It felt very long though. I liked There, there and A Wolf at the Door
I’ve liked this more than most things listened to on this journey. Stars seem to weep was probably my favorite.
It was a rock album. It sounded like all others to me.
“Eat a Scooby Snack and take a disco nap” makes me want to rate this a 5 Sounds like white RunDMC but they’re still using the N word? The 90’s man, what a time.
I didn’t mind this. It was kinda funky, but sometimes got circus-y and that was too much for me
Holy crap this was terrible
Why does this sound like an 80’s rock twilight soundtrack? It’s vampy
I do not understand why this is on here
This felt like classic 60’s music. Cry to me is always a jam.
A little too much grunting and screaming for my taste
Booooo
This was my favorite one so far!
I got two songs in. It was all I needed to know.
I liked this!
No!
I liked it- Cecilia was my fav
The first half was definitely better but overall a good album! Sekou Oumarou was my fav
Not terrible but not my thing
Moving on and the stranger were bops as well as many others. This is one of the first ones where I’m like yeah I’ll listen again!
Didn’t knock my socks off but it was good to listen to! Fun beats and you could really hear the instruments by themselves and in harmony. I liked Dos Gardenias.
Relationships and sex from a female perspective… so excited to hear the boys take on this one 😉 Not something I’d usually listen to but I appreciate it for what it is and what it represented especially in the 90’s - a sex positive album. However I don’t know that I personally need an entire album about sex from a male or female perspective lol. I really like the actual music of this album and how it blends rock, jazz, r and b. Also waterfalls in an incredible song and I will hear no other opinion. Switch and Somethin wicked this way comes were also so great what a way to end the album. I hope we all feel closer after listening to this sexy album together ❤️
I thought this album was boring musically but the lyrics were beautiful. I would have to give it another listen.
I don’t think I like The Beach Boys
AC/DC is fine
