American IV: The Man Comes Around
Johnny CashReally good. I liked it.
Really good. I liked it.
Solid. Really enjoyable vibe. Nothing super new about this other than that there is a nice Mali feel to an old genre. 3/5, would bop again.
I recognize the importance of this record, but I find the songs annoying.
Enjoyable. Really liked the 'Pyramids' track. 4/5.
Good. I liked it. Definitely ahead of its time, but I don't know much it is my vibe. 4/5 would probably listen again, but not in a hurry to.
Classic thrash record. RIP Cliff.
I like this album. It's got a punk vibe, but a calm sing song-y presentation. Borderline spoken word verses suits the music well and definitely feels very 1993 which it is. 4/5. Stratford-On-Guy stands out to me, great song.
Don’t love this. Gonna bring in rock and blues elements to your rap album? 4 years after RATM made it pointless for anyone else to try?? I don't think so. I mean, it's fine, I guess. Won't ever listen again.
5/5 about as good as a debut can be. No skips.
Obvious 5/5. Legendary record.
Not into reggae. Clearly an important record with an important message, but I find the songs repetitive. Not for me.
I love The Cars. I love this album. Every song is catchy, fun, and a hit. No notes.
Good melodies, lot of fun. Not my favorite of 70s jazz, but I enjoyed the afrobeat elements, and I'll likely explore more of his catalogue.
I've tried to get into the Cure a few times, and it's not usually my jam. I really like this album, though. Very atmospheric without being tedious. I enjoyed A Forest, At Night, and the title track in particular.
A lot more enjoyable than What's the Story. Just fun, digestible britpop. They're still kind of annoying, though.
