Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Jan 17 2025
Aqualung by Jethro Tull
Jan 18 2025

Not usually my thing but an enjoyable album. Flute rock.

Deja Vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
Jan 19 2025

Excellent. Favourite songs - cut my hair, our house.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Jan 20 2025

Tough riffs, lots of fun. You can see why they're one of *the* nineties bands.

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
Jan 21 2025

A good album to chuck on in the morning. Interesting fusion of blues, rock, funk, r&b with some psychedelic influences which didn't ascend past being merely interesting for myself personally. Favourite songs - Sex Machine, I want to take you higher

Guitar Town by Steve Earle
Jan 22 2025

This album taught me (once again) that Country music is not for me.

Tical by Method Man
Jan 24 2025
Purple Rain by Prince
Jan 25 2025

Outstanding. Favourite songs: Computer Blue, Take me with you, Purple Rain

The Modern Dance by Pere Ubu
Jan 26 2025

Reminds me of the birthday party. Interesting, but not something I'll listen to again.

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Jan 30 2025

This music sounds like what I imagine taking acid in the 60s felt like. Terrific album.

Pearl by Janis Joplin
Feb 01 2025
Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Feb 02 2025

This album was great. This sound sets the foundations of DnB and other dance music

Feb 03 2025

There are some really great songs on this, especially the back half of the album. However there were a few tracks that I would not listen to again. The song Instrumental is a five star song.

Songs From The Big Chair by Tears For Fears
Feb 04 2025

I love eighties music. This was particularly great. A lot of songs that I didn't know were by Tears for Fears.

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Feb 05 2025

Not for me. Don't like his voice. The music is interesting but not enough to get me through the album.

A Wizard, A True Star by Todd Rundgren
Feb 06 2025

Weird and wonderful. Early electronic infused rock pop.

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Feb 15 2025

Fuck Morrissey but this album is bloody excellent. Favourite songs: Barbarism Begins in the Home

Dummy by Portishead
Feb 25 2025
Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Jun 07 2025
Loveless by My Bloody Valentine
Jun 08 2025

Reminds me of early smashing pumpkins. Dream rock. I found quite a bit of the album bland, lacking low end and hard to understand due to poor production. However, the sound they created is undeniably part of the 90s sound and there are some great melodies and lots of beautiful arrangements throughout the album. The song 'Soon' is amazing. I think I'll come back to these guys.

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
Jun 10 2025
White Light / White Heat by The Velvet Underground
Jun 12 2025

I really liked this, musically, it's got a 60s rock n roll sound with some discordant rumblings of the first waves of punk rock that were emerging at the time. Lyrically their story telling reminded me a little bit of Nick Cave. 4/5 for me.

Os Mutantes by Os Mutantes
Dec 04 2025

Interesting and cool at times but not my vibe.

En-Tact by The Shamen
Dec 05 2025
Music by Madonna
Dec 08 2025
Floodland by Sisters Of Mercy
Dec 12 2025

The Smiths mixed with Midnight Oil. Great song writing, a real ensemble of musicians making great music.

Third by Portishead
Dec 14 2025
The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Feb 19 2026

Outstanding. Time absolutely melted away listening to this record. At once fun, soulful, deep with just a splash of hip-hop edge.

Revolver by Beatles
Feb 27 2026

A perfect album
