The Velvet Underground & Nico
The Velvet UndergroundHow could this get anything but a 5! Such a hugely influential album to all that came after and you can hear it in the songs! Especially Heroin

Not big on jazz but I'm grateful for this project making me listen to this album. It's a stunning project with every instrument being just perfect
Worthwhile to listen through once because I'd never hear a song of his that he's not singing in his signature voice. But that's about it, if I'm listening to 50s rock I want to listen to someone else.
Pretty solid, to me Coldplay has like one sound but it's a sound they do well so! Can't complain
Lots of the songs ran longer than they should but solid otherwise
Peak
Yeah I'm bailing on this. It has some moments of genius I'm sure, but I'm not patient enough to stick around and find them
Pretty solid! Pretty funky!
Now this is an album that absolutely deserves a place on any listen before you die lists.
Stunning and creative, a songwriter at the peak of her powers, and oh so strange!
Why is this album in this list?? It sounds so half finished... Even the bee gees are probably better than this elsewhere
So so good
I like some of the stones' songs but these ones don't do it for me. The horns are a nice touch tho
As someone who is very interested in the development of electronic music I'm so glad to have heard this meld of synth and jazz!
I love it when bands get weird
I mean c'mon. Side b is one of the best tracks ever
Punk seems to either click for me or not. At first this was the latter but then it really started to work. It's just the kind of music you have to be in the mood for. I recommend for vacuuming
I like country sometimes and I respect the artistry of all these women, but I found this album kinda boring
Good stuff
This album is so of its time and yet so timeless. A bit of a miracle of songwriting
Cute, but I fail to see why it's considered essential. I'd rock to these guys live tho
This shit fucks
Some bangers some meh. I don't need a whole album of these guys. If you like them you should check out a band called Black Pontiac
Not my favourite post-punk, but notable for its influence
This was quite surprising. This kind of album and band, which I'd never heard of before, is why I appreciate this challenge
Started as a three then moved to a 4... Albums like this help me understand how rocky horror could have been made in the 70s. I think part of why I liked it so much was that all the 2000s bands I really enjoy are derivatives of this sound
