1001 Albums Summary

The sort of music I think of if you say 80's pop rock. I can hear the new wave/punk influence in some of the guitar and bass lines in most of the songs. Really still love One Way or Another and Heart of Glass; not so much for Fade Away And Radiate or I'm Gonna Love You Too.

Crazy how much musical influence I can hear in this album echo across all other punk rock bands that came after then. Can totally see why it was revolutionary when it came out.

This album still speaks to me nearly a decade later. Beautifully done album filled with all the feelings I couldn't verbalize about my relationships. I forgot how much I loved this album.

Not my jam. Put me to sleep. Would maybe be more fun if I was high.

Trippy synth new wave rock and crooning vocals that, while I would enjoy listening to at a cafe or a dinner party, hypnotized me and lulled me to sleep while I was working.

Grew up listening to Public Enemy with my dad. Not a stranger to their body of work or Flava Flav's constant "yeah boye". Solid album.

Not my favorite type of music. can see why it was popular. The sort of music I wouldn't mind hearing at a summer barbecue, but not something I would put on my own playlist.

Love River so much. Just vibes. Not always my jam, but a good time nonetheless.

Very fun album, enjoyable listen.

I am not ashamed that I have near more appreciation for jazz. Classical it may be, but not for me.

Was a beautiful album. Would enjoy re-listening to this album while enjoying a nice day laying in the grass and staring at the clouds. Not great for working music.

The kind of album that makes me lament the fact I can't see them live in their heyday.

Not my jam. I get the allure. Joplin's voice is very powerful. Would have killed to hear/see them live in person. But not the sort of music I like streaming normally
