Inspirational zydeco and African rhythms and instrumentation. Always loved you can call me Al, under African skies has an amazing bass line. Homeless remind me of the lifesavers commercial. Ladysmith black mambazo for more African vocal harmonies. Vampire weekend for more pop instrumentation over African clave like crazy love vol 2

Funky, I like the instrumentation particularly. But this style is so iconic that it almost seems a little campy maybe? Favorite song either “think” or Freddie’s dead. I will probably start using the word “pusherman” involuntarily.

Jam bandy -like the organ, morrison yelling is a little overheard just from greatest hits. Also real bluesy... feels like a warm grimy summer night hanging out late and drinking and playing cards. Sometimes creepy... growing on me. Listening to the 50th anniversary remaster kinda infuriating what was the original album? certainly not 29 songs and demos, etc.
