I know U2 gets a lot of hate and backlash, but I think this is one of their more liked albums and I understand why. I think this album has nice variety and a nice rhythm from one song to the next. Mysterious ways, ultra violet, and acrobat are the highlights on this album. U2 is super nostalgic for me so that also helps my vote. 4/5
I just skimmed through this album because I had wisdom teeth surgery, every song sounded kinda the same to me in the first half of the album. I didn’t hate it but not really my thing. I think my mom likes this band so I’ll give them an extra star for that. 3/5
U2’s other iconic album. Where the streets have no name is a classic, they filmed the music video on top of a building in la and my mom always tells the story of how she tried to ditch school to drive down there with her friends. Kinda lame to have two U2 albums shown so close together but whatever. Love this album but still holding out for a 5.
Take me out is a really good well known song, but the rest of this album just kinda fell flat for me. There’s some decent songs but none that gave me the same feeling that take me out does when I hear it. I’d say a 3 with take me out and a 2.5 without.
I’ve heard the song clint eastwood a bunch but didn’t recognize any other songs on the album. I liked their vibe and sound but some songs were a bit too repetitive for me. songs I really liked: rock the house and slow country
One of the public reviews says “If you asked an AI audio model to generate a hard rock album from 1987 this is what it would give you” and I feel like this couldn’t be more true. It sounded like a pretty average hair metal rock album, not bad but not really mind-blowing. I liked love removal machine and I hated their born to be wild cover. Just wasn’t really in the mood to listen to this genre in the morning on the way to work so it gets a 2.5/5
I enjoyed listening to this!! It’s tricky and walk this way being on the album automatically give it a 4 in my opinion, but after hearing everything else I’d give it a 4.5. Some really good songs!
Some songs by Muse just HIT, and then others just really fall flat for me, but I enjoyed the overall vibe of the album. Their music kinda makes me feel like I’m about to get abducted by aliens but in a fun way? Starlight, super massive black holes, and knights of cydonia are all incredible songs in my opinion. 3.8/5
I was really vibing this album, I especially liked the second half of it. This was fun to listen to!
I wasn’t the biggest fan of this one, it doesn’t suck but just not really my thing
I love don’t panic, sparks, yellow, and trouble . This was mellow and nice to listen to on my drive this morning, I really enjoyed it!
I love the bestie boys and I honestly wasn’t sure what it would be like to listen to a full album, but I really enjoyed this! It was a teeny bit jarring to listen to in the morning, but the different variety of songs made up for it. I liked the songs egg man, shake your rump, and what comes around. Also 5-piece chicken dinner gave me a laugh and was unexpected. I really loved this and it made me like the bestie boys even more. I love their creative use of sounds and beats and it’s so fun and unique!
This was okay but the songs were just way too long for me to stay interested, like the one that was 18 minutes? really? that’s a tad excessive
I really considered giving this a 5, however you can’t always get what you want brings this down to a 4. I love the rolling stones but I do not love that song
This sounds like it was recorded in some dudes basement and he put it together on garageband. I really couldn’t take it seriously, and I don’t think I NEEDED to hear this album and it kinda sucked.
I feel like this had potential but really missed the mark. Wasn’t a fan of this one
This didn’t really blow me away but it wasn’t terrible
I enjoyed listening to this album, sounds like music that’d be in the end credits of a movie
I haven’t heard much Simon & Garfunkel before but I really enjoyed this album. This was really pleasant to listen to
I liked this, it was nice to have something different
To be fair I just skimmed through this one, but every song sounded the same to me. Not really a fan
The title track is such an iconic song and that gives this album major points. Lots of familiar sounds to me, not sure if some of these were the original or a riff on familiar sounds. The second song sounds like the song from dirty dancing. I personally love the organ because of my grandma, so I really enjoyed listening to this but I can’t say I’d go out of my way to listen to this in its entirety again.
There’s so many good albums out there, why is this one on the list?
I didn’t like this
This felt like french asmr with some music behind it. I didn’t like this
The singer sounds like he’s trying to be chris martin from coldplay, but this guy just can’t sing very well. His slower songs really show how much he can’t sing but the more fast paced songs were better. I liked war on war. 2.8/5
likes: mansize rooster, lose it, time shocked when the song alright came on, had no idea who sang it but was pleasantly surprised to hear that song I enjoyed this way more than I expected! It sounded like a punk band that actually had a lot more nuance to them. Will probably go out of my way to listen to them again!
This album was pretty decent, there she goes is a good song
David Bowie does weird in the best possible way. I love him and he’s an icon. My favorite song off this album is the prettiest star. Maybe it’s because we’ve been given shit albums recently or maybe it’s because my parents named their dog after him and I’m biased or maybe I’m just feeling generous but this album gets my first 5 star rating
So many good songs, carry on, teach your children, helpless, woodstock, our house. Love crosby stills and nash and love the addition of Neil Young. big fan!
This was a great album, super fun to listen to
This was so good! I loved it!
I think this album just caught me at a bad time, this was fine nothing that blew my mind
This was fine, not great not horrible
do I like SZA yeah, do I think this album changed my life no
I didn’t really vibe with this
This was fun to jam to on an island
