1001 Albums Summary

A friend introduced me to this album many years ago (thanks Brady B!). It's proof he deserved his Nobel Prize in Literature. Songwriting can be just as powerful as classic literature. His voice is an acquired taste but nobody seems to mind.

I've never been drawn to AC/DC's sound as a whole, but I did enjoy this album more than I expected to. Cool guitar riffs 🤘

AFAIK this was my first exposure to the Cocteau Twins. What a pleasant shoegaze album to start my day.

A perfect mix of RH's rock and electronic styles. I love the album in its entirety but if I had to choose some of my faves... There, There - it's atmospheric but you can also rock out. I love the drumming. Sail to the Moon - so beautiful Where I End and Where You Begin - the bassline and synth combo is perfection

RIP Chester

I love this one. Peace Frog has always been a fave for me and it was really fun to listen to the Atmos mix. Who remembers the teacher from BLHS that had a huge Jim Morrison poster in his room?

I entered the Arcade Fire scene in the Suburbs era so I haven't listened to this album as much as some of the others, but it's a good one!

I liked all the strings and horns. It was a good listen at the end of the day.

Have to separate the art from the artist. I wanted to dislike this, but it's growing on me. Id maybe bump it up to a 4 but the verdict is still out on how I feel about all the skits.
