"Rio" is a very solid new wave album, with some great tracks, however it doesn't really do anything amazing or special in any way, it's a pretty enjoyable album, for what it is, but for the most part, it's just standard 80s new wave affair.
Really great & fun debut for the Ramones, absolute punk classic, very important for the genre.
Perfection. One of Kanye's best, everything about is nailed perfectly.
I wouldn't say I was in love with this record or anything, however it was a very nice & relaxing listen, & I definitely do see how a lot of people would consider this amazing, it's got extremely soothing & majestic vocals & instrumentation, although to me a lot of the songs kind of blend in with each other, hence why there aren't many highlights, it's more of a whole experience than anything, still very soothing & relaxing album, not for me entirely, but I still enjoyed it.
One of the greatest albums ever made, perfect instrumentation, vocals, lyrics, everything, perfection, will always be one of my favorites.
If I could describe this album in a word it'd be cute, because this album is very soft & easy on the ears, it's the most pop album I have ever listened to, it's unchallenging, it's a classic 70s record to play as calm, soothing music, at least that's how it felt to me, which isn't a bad thing, hell I enjoyed quite a bit off of here, it's just a very nice record, not particularly my style, but for one time, yeah I enjoyed my time with it.
Mystical, whimsical ass album
Little bit of a mixed bag, & a little long, but overall still enjoyable.
Pretty solid 70s rock album, nice mix of acoustics & hard rockers, nice listen.
Really influential & amazing blend of different alternative metal styles, great release, also "Epic" is just... iconic & perfect.
Really great & fun indie record, the riffs & performances are amazing, everything's just great.
Easily one of the greatest albums of all time, from front to back it provides nothing but absolute brit-pop bangers, the incredibly iconic vocals from Liam, combined with the amazing guitar work & the abrasive production, mixed in with some of the catchiest choruses of the decade makes for an absolute slapper of an album, genuine perfection.
Still Lana, so it still has some great instrumentals & vocals, & is still enjoyable, but it definitely sounds very... bog standard for her, nothing really made it standout from the others, it's just another Lana album.
Absolute perfection front to back, one of my favorite albums of all time & one of the greatest albums of all time, incredible both musically & lyrically, with some of the hardest hitting basslines & riffs you'll ever hear, perfect album.
Eh... it was okay, had some really good acid / psyche rock elements, but also a lot of more forgettable elements & it feels a little long despite only being 40 minutes, still enjoyed some parts, but pretty mediocre for the most part, the mixing & production also sounded like ass & was super thin, brings down the score a little.
This album was pretty enjoyable for the most part, but also had some rather mediocre moments that didn't really stick out, especially "Birdland" like damn that song is boring, I think the more punky moments on the record definitely work the best, when it's relying on these simple 70s riffs & such, amplified by Patti's very dominant voice, the more experimental elements just feel kind of whatever & boring, they don't really leave a lasting impression or feel very memorable, there's some good moments, but it's a little hit or miss.
David Bowie made a great art rock classic? What's new?
Damn, it's so primitive they don't even swear.
Surprisingly solid, some absolutely great classic blues instrumentation here, it does sound a little redundant, but due to its repeating of something really solid & its short length it works really well, great live blues record, good shit.
First heard this album around a year ago & really didn't like it, I just thought it was pretty boring indie rock, however coming back to this, this is actually a really great record, yeah there are some more forgettable tracks on here, but most of this stuff is really cool & melancholic, which somewhat of a side track, I've realized that I don't really tend to like overly depressed music, but rather melancholic music, just something I noticed, anyways, the album's got a lot of really nice riffs & slacker, indie, 90s vibes to it, it just has that 90s alternative vibe that I love, Idek how to describe the feeling just... this feeling of 90s alternative attitude that I love, this record's really great, nice indie stuff.
Another decent folk album, it's okay but nothing special... seriously how may more of these are there?
A pretty solid record out of the Stripes, it’s got some really solid riffs here that feel very bluesy & 70s inspired, which work really well with the Stripes’ usual style, the piano on tracks like “I’m Lonely” also works really well as it also feels inspired from a similar era as the guitar work is, Jack’s vocals are also just as great as they usually are, having that perfect amount of 70s sleaze to them that I love, they sound really crispy which matches nicely with the music, there are a couple lesser tracks though, especially tracks 8 - 11, which are decent, but nothing great, especially compared to the best tracks here, which definitely brings down my overall enjoyment, but it’s still great for the most part, so it’s not too bad, still, not the best I’ve heard from them, but still enjoyable, as their records usually are.
Yeah I still don't like this album, Idk, maybe art pop just ain't my jam, but I found most of this really boring, the singing didn't really interest me & the beats were really slow & uninteresting, none of the album really stuck with me as it just wasn't really catchy or memorable to me, it's just too slow & boring to me, that being said, there were some really nice tracks on here that actually had some more memorable beats & nice singing that actually stuck with me, but mostly I just found it boring, it just really didn't stick with me at all, sorry I'm still not into this one.
"Sticky Fingers" is easily the Stones' best album, throughout the 10 track, 46 minute runtime you get some of the best 70s blues rock of all time, "Brown Sugar," "Wild Horses" & "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" are all classics for a reason, the performances of all the band members are all amazing, they put their all into everything, & even with the other tracks on the record you still get great stuff like the country influenced twang of "Dead Flowers," or the slow, grand sweep that is the closer "Moonlight Mile," everything here just works to create the perfect 70s blues rock record, everything here is just perfect, the licks & riffs are goddamn perfect, Mick's vocal performances are iconic as hell, everything here works to make the perfect record, one of my favorites of all time.
Yeah... I'm not a fan of these old experimental jazz albums, it was just kind of boring to me, it's okay, it's clearly well made & competent, just not for me, I can see why it's so highly regarded though, still, I thought it was boring.

This was surprisingly good, the house / electronic beats are really fun, & it's got some nice catchy vocals, hell even the weird robotic vocals work pretty well & fit nicely, biggest issue with it is that the second half is pretty mediocre, & noticeably worse than the first, still, all & all, it's a pretty enjoyable record.
Eh, I liked it, it had some decent vocal performances & pretty good instrumental moments, with also some rather mediocre ones, a little bit of a mixed bag, but overall, nice & enjoyable art pop, decently good.
I didn't go into this one with too much expectation, however I was pleasantly surprised with some pretty great Brazilian folk esc music with really nice vocals & guitar work which sounded really soothing, but also sounded pretty upbeat at time, it's especially impressive that it keeps up this level of quality throughout the entire runtime, without a dull or boring moment, sure there were some lesser ones, but still enjoyable, only issue is a good chunk of tracks kind of blend together & don't stick out, mostly towards the 2nd half, even with that though it's a very consistent, enjoyable, somewhat relaxing & soothing MPB album, album, pretty great.
Upon a couple more listens "Purple Rain" honestly grew on me quite a bit, it was definitely a matter of being in the right mood & scenario to really get the vibe of the record, I just had to be in the right mood, & listening to this record in a dimly lit room on a Friday night was the PERFECT setting for this record, this album is silky smooth as hell & it hit me just right with its funky synths & guitars & of course Prince's seductive vocals & lyrics, everything about it on every track works, the production also exemplifies all of the smooth funk of the record perfectly, I love this album, I liked it before, but now it hit me to the point where I really love it, amazing record, one of the best for sure.
Pretty decent indietronica with a nice psyche sound to it, with some great production & vibe to it, however it's a little longer than it should be & the album can feel a bit samey & boring at times, although, that may be partially be because indietronica isn't really my thing, but still, it had some highlights with a nice atmosphere to it & I found myself enjoying it at points, it's decent.
