The Queen Is Dead
The Smithsabsolutely a 5/5 musically. docking a point for morissey being a dick.

it’s better than i anticipated. i liked common people, disco 2000 and bar italia. still not my cup of tea.
never listened all the way through. this is incredible considering the conext of the time.
8 perfect songs. unbelievably influential of everything in my taste.
i love can and this has it’s moments but it’s just a bit too weird to get into on the first listen
really fucking cool psychedelic-jazz fusion that i didn’t expect. lyricism and themes also hit. any record about nyc in the 70s is probably going to work for me. i also didn’t really ‘get’ joni before and i do a lot more now.
way better than run-dmc that’s for sure
post punk kings
Boo
so much depth here. yes they rap but also they’re a jazz and punk influenced jam band?

“It’s Your World” is an all timer… the rest didn’t age well. Way too much k**y*
ten years gone, houses of the holy, in the light
arrangements are unbelievable
