Who's Next by The Who

So many tunes I didn’t realize were on this album. Overall really enjoyable and fun, it’s a classic for a reason. Glad I finally stopped avoiding The Who albums and had the chance to listen all together.

Heavy Weather by Weather Report
Jun 20 2025

Surprised to see Jaco and Wayne were in a group together, I had no idea. I listened to it a couple times and enjoyed it. I liked some tracks more than others, but might seek out again on my own even though not my fav type of jazz.

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Jun 24 2025

Took a little while to get into, but enjoyed it. Beatles influence is very evident. Especially liked Sweet is the Night, listened to it multiple times.

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Jun 25 2025

Yea this is a freaking monster of a collection - 6 disks! But I enjoyed listening to it over a few weeks, I was always happy to come back to it. I found I was more relaxed when I drove to it. Not all the songs hit, but most were great.

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Jun 30 2025

Not my fave - didn’t really get into any particular song and didn’t feel moved or connected to anything.

Jul 02 2025

Like a lot of this album - fun, funky sound with great samples and the steady rhythmic rapping style of 80’s/ early 90’s. I would be interested in hearing more of his albums.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Jul 08 2025

I love this album. Johnny Cash is great as always, but more than that, the way he is able to connect with the prisoners is so nice and I always felt like this was significant to them. The little snip-it's of prison announcements and him between songs, it's just so cool to be able to experience. The music is great, but what this album represents makes it so much more.

Moon Safari by Air
Jul 09 2025

Phenomenal - funky, chill, just really lovely

Manassas by Stephen Stills
Jul 10 2025

Really solid rock album! Enjoyed the different sounds throughout - blues harmonica in “Jet Set” , CSNY sounding funky “The Treasure”, country flavors elsewhere. It was fun and a good listen. 4 before “The Treasure”, 5 afterwards

Life's Too Good by The Sugarcubes
Jul 11 2025

I LOVE this LOVE this so much!! Bork’s voice is magical and blows me away every time I hear it. This album is fun and upbeat and full of life and so so interesting.

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Jul 14 2025

I enjoyed this, will listen again in its entirety. Where is my mind? obviously excellent, but I also thought the rest of the album was great. True Indy sound, the OG

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Jul 15 2025

Highway to Hell a classic and easily enjoyable. The rest all sound pretty similar. Totally fine

Jul 18 2025

Sounds like the soundtrack to an Indy movie from 2009. In fact I have definitely heard at least An Audience with the Pope in a movie from around then. I liked this and would probably buy it in vinyl if I found it for a good price.

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Jul 21 2025

Fun and familiar 4.5

Who's Next by The Who

Future Days by Can
Dec 10 2025

I enjoyed this, listened twice. It definitely didn’t sound like it was made in the early 70’s - very modern sound, in a great way. There were a few moments when the fast, repetitive beat poked my nerves in an unpleasant way and made me come out of the listening experience a bit. It was really just the last 4 minutes of the last song. Otherwise very enjoyable and cool. I will check out their other albums

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield

Dec 12 2025

Liked this a lot. It’s folky and relaxing, but also unexpected. Just when you think you know where a song is going, it shifts in a surprising and enjoyable way. A keeper

Natty Dread by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Dec 15 2025

This album is just *chefs kiss. I was super happy when it popped up, it’s very nostalgic for me. Every single song is a hit, but Them Belly Full is still my favorite. Listening to this just makes me happy, even after all these years I still feel the same way I did when I was 15.
