one time neil peart came to my high school and played the drums for us. or someone related to neil peart came to my high school and showed us his crazy drum set and told us about how cool neil peart is and donated some band equipment? anyway something neil peart related happened at my high school when i was like 15 and it was interesting enough that i remember it happening but not enough that i actually remember the details, because when i was 15 i was too busy listening to the smiths and oasis and i didn't give a shit about neil peart or rush. i have come to recognize that neil peart was pretty dang talented and also was born in hamilton, so that's cool. but i still don't give a shit about rush.

hi guys thank you for allowing me to add my hot takes to this group! this is the first time i've ever really listened to black sabbath, and maybe honestly also the first metal album i've really listened to?? i am pretty on board with the general sound, other than the occasional repetitiveness. i would maybe be more into it if it was just instrumentals, and i am SO sorry ozzy osbourne, rip, please dont haunt me, but i do think the aspect of this that i can't get into is the vocals. i know he has a very iconic voice, but it is unfortunately not for me! album art is a 5/5, cool font, very spooky

your favourite indie rocker’s favourite record?

morissey makes it reeallllllyy hard to separate the art from the obnoxious, racist, english nationalist artist because he puts so much of himself into his lyrics. the first three songs on this feel like parodies of morissey songs, and are kind of unforgivably unsubtle and stupid. unfortunately!! i do kind of love this shit... i'm such a hoe for the smiths :( First of the Gang to Die is a classic, and I love this dumbass's stupid, corny music!!! it all does unfortunately sound great!! morissey shut the fuck up, i hate ur irish blood, english heart brexit loving ass!!!!!!!

kinda REM-y? i don’t love the singer, he feels a little too barenaked ladies-esque to me!

it was really interesting reading the wikipedia entry about this band and the disappearance of richey edwards! i’m interested in listening to some of their other stuff to compare it to this, a couple of songs were hitting, but mostly it kinda sucks?

really takes you on a journey, but a journey that i enjoyed!
