Popular Reviews

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel

I know this is considered a classic, but for me, it just feels too all over the place. Sure, there are a few standout tracks, but as a whole, the album doesn’t really come together for me. It’s just not my thing.

Okay. Kind of bad recording made it hard to enjoy.

Figure 8 by Elliott Smith
Aug 26 2025

Not my cuppa tea.

Swordfishtrombones by Tom Waits
Aug 27 2025

I like the earlier albums better, but there's really something special about Tom Waits and hearing his voice develop over the albums.

Aug 28 2025

I had never heard of Laura Nyro before, what an amazing voice, and there are some really good songs on the album. However, I found the overall experience a bit too messy; it shifts from calm to chaotic in a way that feels a little jarring.

Coles Corner by Richard Hawley
Sep 04 2025

I’d heard "Coles Corner" before and I do like the title track, but overall, the album feels pretty bland to me. It’s not bad, just a bit forgettable—I could see myself having it on in the background, but it doesn’t really grab my attention.

Under Construction by Missy Elliott

A really good album. I listened to it a lot when it was released.

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Sep 08 2025

I like the Beastie Boys but apart from some great tracks a lot on this album sounds the same.
