1001 Albums Summary

I like it! A very impressive debut album for sure, think they're at their best when I can imagine being a car to the song, funnily.

This album turned me into a beastie boy fan, golden hip hop stan and forever changed my walking down the street music, hoooly shit. It's a little long and honestly needs a hundred listens to unpack all the lyricism, if you have the attention to trawl through that much of the same delivery - I wouldn't mind though.

Some good tunes, Jammin, Exodus, One Love, Three little birds - nothing to complain about really, I wouldn't listen through the whole thing again though.

The singles really shine, the rest didn't stick.

Kind of felt like walking into your local historic instrument shop - least they have the excuse of tuning loudly and not knowing what the other musicians are playing!

It was nice, but not the most attention grabbing - perhaps worth listening to in the car again.

Fun, foamy, a good ambient album. Perhaps not distinct enough considering the current state of ambience. But considering it's nearly 40 years ago, that's influential then, right?
