Dub Housing
Pere UbuI can see why this album was very influential and parts of it were excellent, but it was a tough listen at times, chaotic and mangled. Good to experience it though

I was surprised but how disappointing this album is overall, given that I actually quite like a lot of Bowie. Beyond Fame and Can you Hear Me it seemed a bit derivative
Sumptuously produced, brilliantly delivered, really loved this one
Clever and warm with lovely soul nods but a little too long and drifts in places
Lacks the ornate musicianship of previous but still absolutely slaps, and Nothing Else Matters is a beautiful song
Nope.
Absolutely blissful and sad and brilliant.
This is an absolute delight, which I’d never heard before. There’s a very 80s tone to some of the songs, very lush and layered, but it’s also kind of sad.
Was amazed by how good some of the lyrics were. I find the music a bit annoying at times but this is a great album
Loved it. Obviously there’s a slight question mark over whether he’s exploiting prisoners and he clearly plays up his own ‘outlaw’ status but the music is amazing, the energy brilliant, and June’s vocals are also on point.
Glorious. Complex and crisp and beautiful. Also Spacelab made our unborn child start kicking loads
Not really for me
Pretty fun and clearly an influence on stuff that came later in the big electro revival. A few tracks were a bit repetitive but it’s all very slick and well made
This was very good. Maybe not as strong and interesting as other big grunge albums, but some bangers nonetheless
So fun
Kind of like an extended jam session. Great musicianship but not something I’d listen to loads. But when it bangs it does bang
Couldn’t get into this at all. I can see how it’s important but I found it too frenetic
Obviously influential and quite fun but the vocals annoyed me
A few good songs but pretty pedestrian
The musicianship pushes this up to a 3* but honestly, pretty dull
Great
Last three songs are 5/5, the rest of the album is 3/5
Insanely excellent. Production, songwriting, vibe. Weird guy, great album
A few bangers but otherwise pretty meh
Lovely production and great song writing but lacked any killer tracks
One of my favourites
Not really my thing
Very 80s but some classic songs and amazing bass
Pretty dull
