Duck Rock by Malcolm McLaren
Oct 23 2025

Definitely funky, some cool old-school hip hop beats. The Appalachian folk tunes at the end were odd. Favorite song(s): Double Dutch.

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Oct 24 2025

It’s rock, it’s glamour, it’s crying in the club at 2am. This is an album of anthems and is one of the best debut albums out there. Favorite song(s): Mr. Brightside, Somebody Told Me, All These Things That I’ve Done, On Top, Everything Will Be Alright

Oct 25 2025

Enjoyed this album but prefer some of James Brown’s other work. Liked that it was live and I did feel like I was there at the Apollo watching a show. Favorite Song(s): I Don’t Mind, Lost Someone

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Oct 26 2025

Not for me. Album felt like I was listening to show tunes or a musical. Favorite Song(s): Watch That Man

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Oct 27 2025

This album oozes cool. Liked how the songs seemed to turn into jam sessions. Favorite Song(s): Love Her Madly, LA Woman

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Oct 28 2025

Liked this one a lot, very groovy! Favorite Song(s): Listen To The Music, Summer Breeze pts. 1&2

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Oct 29 2025

Not for me. All the songs sounded the same and I couldn’t get into it. Favorite Song(s): Say Yes

Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
Oct 30 2025

This one was bad, I understand why the album isn’t available to stream in the US. No favorite songs.

Devil Without A Cause by Kid Rock
Oct 31 2025

Not a fan of Kid Rock but can appreciate how popular he was in the 90s. Favorite Song(s): Cowboy

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Nov 01 2025

Love this album, classic CCW with some great covers. Favorite Songs(s) Run Through the Jungle, Who’ll Stop the Rain, Lookin Out My Backdoor

Aja by Steely Dan
Nov 02 2025

Not bad, not great. I’m not big into Steely Dan, but liked the 70s rock/funk feel. Favorite Song(s): Peg

The Infotainment Scan by The Fall
Nov 03 2025

I picked through this album and didn’t find anything really to like. No favorites.

Harvest by Neil Young
Nov 04 2025

Despite it being sad, I enjoyed this album and it has a few songs that I enjoy listening to regularly. I’m not a huge Neil Young fan, but can appreciate the music. Favorite Song(s): Harvest, Heart Of Gold, Old Man, Alabama

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Nov 05 2025

Enjoyed this one as the album told a story. Classic Willie Nelson. Favorite Song(s): Time of the Preacher, Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, Red Headed Stranger.

Nov 06 2025

I had never listened to this one all the way through before but now I’m glad I did. Elton John is a gem and this album is fun and cheeky and deep all at the same time. Favorite Song(s): Bennie and the Jets, All the Girls Love Alice (but really, I loved the whole album)

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Nov 07 2025

Liked this one, but I do prefer Iron Maiden’s later stuff. Favorite Song(s): Phantom of the Opera, Iron Maiden

Nov 08 2025

Enjoyed this one. A lot of classics everyone knows and most songs have been famously covered a time or to. Favorite Song(s): Respect, My Girl, Satisfaction

1989 by Taylor Swift
Nov 09 2025

Easy five for this one even though this was my first time listening all the way through. This album has so many great songs and reminds me of being a teenager. Love her or hate her, Taylor knows how to make an album. Favorite Song(s): Welcome to New York, All You Had to Do Was Stay, Shake It Off, Bad Blood

Street Life by The Crusaders
Nov 10 2025

Couldn’t get into this one. I like Jazz but only sometimes. Favorite Song(s): Rodeo Drive

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Nov 11 2025

I was bored listening to this one and skipped through a lot of songs. Favorite Song(s): Pump it Up

Emperor Tomato Ketchup by Stereolab
Nov 12 2025

This is just weird music, not bad, but weird. Not really for me, plus most songs are in French. Favorite Song(s): Les Yper-Sound

A Little Deeper by Ms. Dynamite
Nov 13 2025

Enjoyed this one, loved the hip/hop/reggae vibes. Favorite Song(s): Dy-Na-Mi-Tee

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Nov 17 2025

Another banger. No notes. Favorite Song(s) Green River and the rest of the album.

Nov 18 2025

A few songs on this album have been so overplayed it was hard to listen to them (Kids, Electric Feel). That being said, I had never listened to the whole album before despite growing up with it. I liked the beginning songs but after Kids, the songs got weird. Solid 3. Favorite Song(s): Time to Pretend

Dirty by Sonic Youth
Nov 20 2025
The Who Sell Out by The Who
Nov 21 2025

Actually enjoyed this side of The Who. Enjoyed the skit about baked beans. Very British, very cheeky. Favorite Song(s): Tattoo, I Can See For Miles.

Nevermind by Nirvana
Nov 24 2025

Easy 5. This album stands as one of the greatest out there despite being overplayed. Nirvana is the epitome of 90s grunge Favorite Song(s): the whole album

Loveless by My Bloody Valentine
Nov 26 2025

Not for me. Too much witchy-90s vibes. Favorite Song(s): Honey Power

Nov 28 2025

Enjoyed this one. Very old school punk, and liked it was a live album. Favorite Song(s): Ramblin Rose, Kick Out The Jams

Purple Rain by Prince
Nov 29 2025

Will probably get hate for this but I’m just not a huge Prince fan. I respect him as a musical icon but the tunes aren’t for me. Favorite Song(s): Purple Rain - obviously.

Junkyard by The Birthday Party
Nov 30 2025

How is this album even on this list? What did I just listen to? Favorite Song(s): none

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Dec 01 2025

Too many guitar solos and songs just took forever to build up. Couldn’t get into it. Favorite Song(s): Flight of the Rat

Moondance by Van Morrison
Dec 02 2025

Pretty good, liked the jazz aspects a lot and Can has a great voice, very smooth and easy listening. Favorite Song(s): Moondance, Caravan

Exit Planet Dust by The Chemical Brothers
Jan 16 2026

I like this more than I thought I would, reminds me of a bunch of 90s/2000s action movies. The songs were kind of long though and I don’t know when I would ever pick this up just to listen. Favorite Song(s): In Dust We Trust, Leave Home

Jan 17 2026

I had never listened to this full album before but I’m glad I did now. Every song is so good and full of soul, so easy to listen to. Favorite Song(s): The full album.

Surf's Up by The Beach Boys
Jan 20 2026

This is just not the Beach Boys I know and love. Favorite Song(s): surfs up

White Light by Gene Clark
Jan 22 2026

Not horrible but I don’t know why this album is on the list when we already have Bob Dylan and Neil Young. A bit too slow for me.

Kala by M.I.A.
Jan 23 2026

I think there is a reason why Paper Planes is the only popular song on this album and the only song I actually enjoyed listening to.

Station To Station by David Bowie
Jan 24 2026

I can see why people love and adore Bowie, but it’s just not for me.

Urban Hymns by The Verve
Jan 25 2026

Classic Brit pop. Very 90s, and surprisingly psychedelic. Bittersweet Symphony is such a great opening song to the album. Other favorite song: The Drugs Don’t Work.

Violator by Depeche Mode
Jan 26 2026

Woah, I actually enjoyed this album way more than I thought I would! I was never a big fan of Personal Jesus as it is pretty over played but I really enjoyed the dark synth and moody electronic vibes. Reminded me of a villain in a 90s techno thriller movie. Favorite Song: Enjoy the Silence
