really, there's a need for explanation ?
Really great ambiant album, even if I'm not the biggest fan of the genre, love all the instrument, maybe the voice is a bit too simillar, love the drum, maybe a lack of crazyness to make it perfect
Was about to put a 3 bc it's classic daddy rock album, nothing extraordinary but there is La Grange which is maybe the best rock a papa song, some other cool stuff to,
It's get better on the second part of the album, but really no. Just noise but in a bad way, the voice of the lead singer is terrible, look like an endless assurance add.
Really great, mix of rock n roll and blues, the two first and two last songs are bangers. Maybe a lack of psychedelic keyboards, 4.5
I don't know if we have to judge an album by his personnal taste or in général. More RnB than hip-hop, not a huge fan of the genre, I guess it's not bad. A bit too much hoohaaaahaaa for me, easy to listen, nothing magical. Worth a 3 but really a 2.5 for me
It's Marley you know, always the same, always good. I thought about how reggae of these days is really an ambient music, specially when you don't understand the lyrics. Cosy and peaceful sound, kind of mantra voice. It's perfect to do something else like cooking or working. High 3.5
I'm quite between two sides, first Chan Chan is a masterpiece, one of my favorite song ever, the rest of the album is really great, well produced and got everything that I like, but not that fantastic compare to Chan chan. It's a very high 3, but the all looks a bit like just a folkloric album and not so much modern (like Chan Chan), Cooder's style can be clearly heard in CC and I don't really find it in the rest. But still so enjoyfull to listen this kind of music, it makes me want to be 40 degrees outside with a strong rhum cocktail and beautifull shore landscape
The algorithme is definiteively giving us, good shit. I just listened to this one in repeat during a bus night drive, really great, some hits and the rest is nice, music is really nice even if Young's voice can be a bit irritating some time,
Classic early hard rock album, not the most great music to listen even if it lead to really good genre years later. It's really monotonous, the songs the way of singing. Some really great guitar solo but that's it. Maybe it's because of the a live album because some of the studios songs are more subtle.
It's trying but achieve nothing a mix of a lot of different things without making it personnal, not harsh to listen but without character
Yeah !! Poom chak poompoom chak poom chak, poompoom chak, classic old school Dnb, minimaliste, great instrument sample, 4 discs, 5h of kicking leg, I love the cover, it's from my birthyear, it's a big yes, yes I'm a Dnb bitch, so what ?
Well, I'm glad I listened to it because the hit "dreaming of you" was one of my hits when I was in late highschool. Nothing transcendantal, some good parts the lyrics seems a bit crapy. I'll not listened to it again but meh'... Actually I find it pretty moder for a 2002 album, look like something from the 2010's, 2.5
Another great classic, two of the best songs ever made, Walk on the wild side and perfect day. Wotws is attached to a very stong memory, I was maybe 16yo in a huge swiss chalet for new years eve with some of my parent's friends. There was a record player and I put this album, then the song played and I was just amazed and really surprised my the sax at the end of the song, truly beautiful, I was like, that's music.
Even if I found the lyrics a bit to focus on women, come on Lou, life is a bigger picture than wanted to put your pipi in some poupous.
Some good hits, but the while is too much répétitive,
Some bangers ofc, what a voice, love the attitude bit as an album album... It's a bit too simple, very look a like music, great but not revolutionary
I honestly think I know 1001 albums that worth a try before this one
Pfff.... I mean, never listened to a DM album now I know why, so so so cliché about the eightees, and still this one is a late one so maybe it's even more cliché and poor. I can agréé than the music may bé interested but the voice and way of singing it's a no go for me. Same year, same kind of band, The Cure, Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, way better and diverse
I know I'm a normy straight guy but it's real good. I just listened to it many many times on repeat and I really liked it. There are lot of music layers, very subtle. The thing is Tom York's voice, it's not the think that I like the most it's a solid 4.5 but since this week was total bs and I don't think their gonna be a lot of 5 stars in this very normy list generator,
It's ok, like the voice, a bit répétitif, some nice guitar, feels like hot chocolate near a chemney
Nice, I'm not a fan of NY, specially is high peetch voice but there are some great ones,
That's what rock music should sound like, maybe the best intro song ever made. So much raw energy, drums and guitar are on point ! Robert Plant's voice may be a bit annoying at some point and there is no other really song that hit as hard as the first one
Well, a bit hard, not a huge fan of ACDC but three bangers in this album, the rest is a bit too similar, but it's efficient and one of the most distinctive voice in rcknroll
Sounds like a musical, like bunch of 80's high astronautes travelling randomly around funky space
Kind of boring, really didn't make it for me. All the songs look the same. At any moment the instruments or his voice doing something a bit more exciting or virtuoso. I'm sure it's a nice album to make passionate and romantic sex tough (by experience, Marvin Gaye's albums are great for this).
Exactly what I expected from a band names American Music Club.
The fact that you can't make 0.5 rates it's really bothering me more and more, it's a 2.5
Funny how they release only on album and are THE punk band that is the most known. It's nice more like 3.5.
The live performance list have been crazy tbh
So eightees, not really my thing
It's ok, the brass are too similars, but still my kind of shit
Yeah ! Crazy, I always Saw discs of Chicago without ever putting one on play. Damn, it's really great ! I thought it was something bit funky like Chic, like funk big band and it's like kind of this but with a psychedelic touch, like this all screaming guitar un the middle of the album... Really nice discovery
Peace Frog is maybe my favorite The Doors's song. Great album, look like a real hommage to North American music, rock and folk, the second part is more expérimental, love it !
Good old school boom bap type beat rap, J5 show a good command of a early 2000's east cost rap album. However it's a bit flat, I really like the last instrumental track, but the rest is a bit all same the same
This album is quite uneven, I don't think that Supertramp are great album makers but some songs just hit hard (school, crime of the century, dreamer). The song's schemes are quite similars. But School, come on... 2.5
I'm not the target I think, where is the music ?
An other fucking 80's album in this white ass list. You mean you rather put this than any album of C. Berry even if every single guitar's riffs in this album are widely inspired by him... Trafic....
It's not worth than an other but I'm not in the mood..
So... Not my favorite Stones album, there a lack of roughness in it. But musicaly speaking it's really great, lot of inspiration from américains music culture. It's 3.5
