Nevermind by Nirvana
Dec 19 2025

An all time classic for a reason. I think it's a specific mood listen for me, and the lower production quality paired with simple riffs I think cap it's potential at times. Overall though, it's punk, raw, emotional, and memorable. I was surprised by how many songs I knew.

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman
Dec 25 2025

I can't believe she copied Luke Combs 🙄

Dec 30 2025

Meh. Not my thing. Kinda boring Edit: back half is growing on me, still not totally sold

Pieces Of The Sky by Emmylou Harris
Dec 31 2025

Never heard of it, but some banger country/folk music.

Destroyer by KISS
Jan 01 2026

Nothing too crazy, but some solid 70s pop rock. Fun jams, catchy tunes, pizzazz

Fever Ray by Fever Ray
Jan 02 2026

Interesting. Feels like diet Bjorn. Not bad, but not something I would regularly listen to.

Hysteria by Def Leppard
Jan 07 2026

I'm torn. On the one hand, it's the epitome of vapid hair metal at the tail end of the 80's. On the other hand, my inner 12/50 year old really vibe with it.

Smile by Brian Wilson
Jan 08 2026

A beautiful cathartic album. The culmination of almost 40 years of Brian's journey. And a fascinating exploration into childhood trauma and wonder, with added layers of legacy sprinkled on top. The well crafted harmonies, broad range of instruments, and musical themes throughout make it feel almost like a play or a composition at times.

Queen II by Queen
Jan 09 2026

Knew none of the songs going in. Pleasantly surprised by how consistently good their sound is, a unique blend of almost grungy tone and lilting melodies, unique structure, and just a joy to hear. What kiss wishes they were.

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Jan 13 2026

4 is maybe a little generous but man they can shred like crazy. Great stage presence, high quality recording, fun all the way through.
