Solid first half of the album. The hits are still hits. A bit repetitive in the second half. The second half world be better without the lyrics
Most of the album is still in regular radio rotation and for good reason.
Last night is still solid.
Great guitar work throughout the album. The singing feels boring and repetitive at times
First newer Bowie album I've listened to. The man still had a lot of energy. It's not as good as the classics but still solid
There wasn't anything interesting. It wasn't horrible just nothing really notable
It was a fun listen. Catchy and upbeat.
Aside from "wild horses" there's not much to note. The last half of the album almost sounds like they're doing a parody
An interesting album. It was repetitive but not in a bad way. Not the kind of album to listen to all in one go but the individual songs are good.
It was tough to rate. If you ignore most of the subject matter of the songs it's amazing
I was surprised by how good this was. A lot more bluesy than I expected.
Wasn't really my type of music but was really enjoyable
The hits are great by themselves but the album itself feels like a chore to listen t (although it's only been a couple of weeks since I listened to another full RHCP album). Musically it's great though. Great guitar work.
Rounding up to a 4
One I realized that word salad was what they were going for (and not me developing some sort of aphasia) I appreciated it more.
I'm sure there are people who this album is for, but I'm not one of those people.
Well that was something I guess. The parts where he sounded like a dolphin were unique.
Overall it was a fun listen. Just very different
She's got an interesting voice. I definitely picked up the velvet underground feels
Wow. Apparently Blondie is really good.
The album felt short which was good because it didn't wear itself out.
Each of the songs felt different and interesting.
Disappointing. Aside from "Song #2" there was nothing good. I find it interesting that as soon as the album finished my algorithm played "county house" and "girls and boys" to at least remind me that Blur isn't horrible
I did it! All 2 hours and 52 minutes.
Geez this is tough to rate. The songs are generally short which was a good thing. There were lots of good bits but you throw 3 hours away and there's going to be something that's decent.
Rounding up to a 3 because it has "the book of love" which resulted in the much better Peter Gabriel cover
I'm not a big fan of punk but I can understand the appeal. This album wasn't anything amazing. "Shot from both sides" was a good listen
This was an easy 5. It's been probably a decade since I've listened to the album in its entirety but it's just as great as I remember.
I was worried about the length of some of the tracks but it all came together nicely. A solid rock album.
It's very different in 2026 listening to Michael Jackson giving this image of being a bad boy or a ladies man. I remember listening to this as a kid and it hit really different. Solid album though. The hits are still hits and bring up the full album. The other songs aren't remembered for good reason. They're not horrible but nothing special.
"CTA 102" was a really weird track (particularly for something from the 60's).
"My Back Pages" was pretty good though.
Overall better than I expected. A few of the songs in the second half got a bit too experimental for me. The rest of the album was a good smooth listen.
This is an album that just begs to be listened to loudly.
I don't think there are any bad songs on this album. They're not all classics (for good reason) bit they're all a solid experience.
It's not deep but it's just dumb fun.
It was my first cure album but pretty much what I expected from them
Not really for me but I can appreciate the work. I enjoyed the electric piano work and the overall jazz feel
I'm generally not a fan of spoken word poetry masquerading as music but the fact that I really enjoyed this album goes to show just how good Cohen is.
The first half was rough but it picked up by the second half. The covers we're really the only songs I enjoyed
16 minute drum solo? Yeah it's live so I get it. Such high energy for the songs which kept it fun. I enjoyed the album more than I thought I would.
The best way to describe this is "boring". Peter Gabriel clearly has passion in the songs - it's not like he's just phoning it in but it all comes across as being beige.
If there's a reason that adult contemporary has a bad reputation is this album
It just came across as being so self centered and juvenile. Maybe that was the theme of the album given its title but that doesn't make it better. A full hour worth of tracks saying how you're the best isn't a good listen.
It's Duran Duran so you know what you're getting. Solid 80s rock.
I remember when this came out it was so different from what was around at the time. Classic rock feel without being classic
