So by Peter Gabriel
Jan 13 2026

Took a while to get used to Peter's voice on "Red Rain", but I really enjoyed the energy coming from the loops on this. Also, Kate Bush! Highlights include "That Voice Again" and "In Your Eyes". Least favourite was probably "Big Time", but still a very enjoyable song.

Cosmo's Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jan 14 2026

This kind of felt like listening to a rockier version of Jools Holland's New Years Eve show, with loads of catchiness in the songs. I wouldn't say this is really my vibe though, but I had a pretty fun time listening to the album. Favourites would include "Ramble Tamble" and "Who'll Stop The Rain". Unfortunately, this version of "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" is WAY too long in my opinion so that is currently my least favourite.

Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy
Jan 15 2026

So much energy in this. An album that probably would be in the mix if you were trying to outline the chronology of rap. Favourites on the album would be "Brothers Gonna Work It Out", "Burn Hollywood Burn" and of course "Fight The Power". No least favourite in particular, just a general sense that this might be a little on the long side.

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
Jan 16 2026

A great album to just have a sit down, relax and fully embrace. Such a clean tempo throughout and throws just about enough new stuff in throughout to keep you interested. Listening to this after a long day at work helped a lot.

I would definitely give this a 3.5 but unfortunately that's not available on this site so 3 stars it is. But really nice tempo on this one! Favourites would be "We Float" and "This Mess We’re In". It took me a little while to get used to the vibe so right now least favourite would probably be "Big Exit".

Graceland by Paul Simon
Jan 20 2026

A great album to have in the background of a chill house party. Favourite would have to be "Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes". "I Know What I Know" doesn't do a lot for me, so I would go with that for least favourite right now.

Punishing Kiss by Ute Lemper
Jan 21 2026

I thought all the compositions here were good, but the lyrics and vocals really didn't work for me, especially with any of the male voices on here. It does feel like maybe I was missing visuals to tie this album together, but nothing really stuck for me.

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Jan 22 2026

A classic that's always a comfort to return to. Maybe not my favourite Beatles album, but a necessary step towards their latter works in their careers.
