Listening notes ? First rated album - Beginning of the journey. Can I write and then come back ? - We'll try that Yes you can Are the notes personal to me ? I hope so, because the expectations from my side are really low :) About the album now: Feels already known to me. I probably already listened to it once. Spotify and such may ruin the experience, but the tracks and tracks sequence (apart from the obvious ones) feel personal already Feels very energetic, and courageous (Map of the Problematique) At the same time, lots of minor chords ? Gets very dramatic as the tracks go. We hear how it feels to slowly lose hope. Overall very interesting album. Will hear again

Remain In Light by Talking Heads

You can start to feel the age of the writing, and I don't know if it has aged well. Still very rhythmic, a few "classics", overall a good album. I would have to listen to it again to see if it could enter the "essentials" shelf ! :D

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
Jan 22 2026

I mean, what was I expecting. Everything is in the title :) Not really my style, but felt good, really calm and lets you focus on other things

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Jan 23 2026

A great album. Impressive vocals (I then learned it his first studio album). Mix between melancholics / sadness and joy Potential for a personal top-shelf (weekly listen)

Let's Stay Together by Al Green

Banger start Smooth and melancholic. Very good overall. Nice discovery ! Loved it, top-shelf also! <3

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath

Quite disturbing, but that's the whole point right ?

A Love Supreme by John Coltrane
Jan 29 2026

Tough one... this one says more about me than it says about the album, but Jazz is really not my thing :(

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Jan 31 2026

I don't know if I'm rating the album, or the artist

A Northern Soul by The Verve
Feb 02 2026

Not the worst album, but defenitely not the greatest. Some of the critics are a bit harsh though

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Feb 03 2026

Hotel California by Eagles
Feb 07 2026

Meh... very sad that "Hotel California" is the only song of the album with that special energy, the rest is... okay, a bit sad
