The Velvet Underground & Nico by The Velvet Underground
Mar 12 2026

Blown away by the seductive melodic cuts. Album is the perfect representation of the burgeoning community of artists and icons Andy Warhol created with The Factory in New York. Wildly Inspiring.

The Cars by The Cars

Sonically very well done. The mixes are incredible. The layered vocals are done to perfection. The sound is very much attached to the era it was born out of though, which isn’t necessarily bad, it’s just the album isn’t likely to translate so well if you weren’t alive to experience it in the late 70s // early 80s. Love the concise, focused nature of the tracks & tracklist; it helps because there isn’t much variation in the sequencing or songs themselves throughout the runtime. There is a very performative, queen-esque, sort of theatrical quality to the lead vocalist’s performance on the album, if that’s your thing, not for me personally.

Oh, this is like the “peaked in high school” music of the 1980s. Guitars shred though, they play really well, and the energy is great. It’s incredibly well done sonically. I like the production a lot, & I appreciate the brevity of the tracklist. Just not for me.
