Revolver by Beatles
Mar 11 2026

A solid selection from The Beatles discography. Not often my first pull, but that should not discount the goodness of this record. Eleanor Rigby- what a gem. I have heard this song a million times and it always hits.

Blur by Blur
Mar 13 2026

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS- even with the US sports anthem classic, Song 2- which is, arguably undeniable despite its absolutely nonsensical lyrics- this record is such a vibe. I was immediately inclined to side by side this with Oasis. Much love to Country Sad Ballad Man. A true jam. I thoroughly enjoy the sequencing journey of this record. After not visiting this end to end in quite some time, I was tickled moving through these tracks. You’re So Great- another honorable mention! This may have also hit a little differently today since I just watched Damon on SNL with Gorillaz. 5 buckets of popcorn!

Mar 15 2026

Very moody. I’ve always been told the greatness of Elbow. And this record certainly does shine in its own shimmering way.

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Mar 17 2026

It just hit about the right place and right time - late evening as I was winding down my day. I definitely enjoyed!

A Date With The Everly Brothers by The Everly Brothers
Mar 18 2026

This is my first front to back listen of an Everly Brothers record. Are the lyrics bubblegum and the substance a tad watered down? Of course! But the harmonies- that stole me! Liked much more than I had expected!

Gasoline Alley by Rod Stewart
Mar 19 2026

Wow. Did not expect to enjoy this. But ya got me. Rod- you are the man!

Junkyard by The Birthday Party
Mar 20 2026

This record rules. I first heard it at my old record store job and it always had me. Jangly. Rough. And melodic and fun as it gets!!!!!!! 5 stars forever

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Mar 21 2026

This took a few listens to get through- wildly interesting

Queen Of Denmark by John Grant
Mar 22 2026

I had no expectations or background going into this record. First listen- I was very pleased. Incredibly personal and wonderful lyrics. I did not put this next to a Czars record (of which it has been a while), but great to hear and great to learn about John Grant more after I finished listening. This one is worth a spin!

Rain Dogs by Tom Waits
Mar 23 2026

I adored Tom Waits and I have heard this a time or two- always a pleasurable revisit!

Home Is Where The Music Is by Hugh Masekela
Mar 24 2026

Excellent - first time listener and I will be looking into some more Hugh masekela !

White Light / White Heat by The Velvet Underground
Mar 25 2026

Wonderful. Weird. All things I expect and have come to love about the velvet underground.

Mar 27 2026

This didn’t do a ton for me. I love garage rock- which this gives me a ton of those jangly, lo-fi vibes. This is classic psych rock and this should hit all the boxes for me. It’s just fine- don’t come at me dads!

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Mar 28 2026

Wow. Well 1- as I was listening to Sleep to Dream, I learned she wrote this at 14?!!!!!!! Incredible track. Incredible artist. Totally took me by surprise - this is a new fav!

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
Mar 30 2026

Magical. This record was sitting in my brain as some faded memory. I cannot lie that the length of this record felt a little daunting at first (just two songs- yikes!!!!)- but it was so impressively beautiful. Is this a divisive Miles Davis pick and the beginning of his electro era? Sure- but I was so on board in the first two minutes. LOVE! IT!

The Wildest! by Louis Prima
Mar 31 2026

This album represents that 50s era swing/jazz era to a tee. I’m not necessarily mad at it, but I’m not necessarily brought in - songs are fun, have that Vegas jazz sense of humor, and you can’t not be entertained- but I won’t be making any argument for or against this. There might be some general bias in that my day prior was Miles Davis “In A Silent Way”…. There’s no way to equate either of these in any way. But it’s telling that I was already immediately ready to throw Miles back on and put this back on the shelf. I will say- “(I’ll Be Glad When You’re Dead) You Rascal” may be one of the funniest songs I have ever heard.

...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
Apr 01 2026

It’s Britney- and it goes down smooth and sticky like a bomb pop on a summer day. No notes!

In Utero by Nirvana
Apr 04 2026

For most of my life, I kind of wrote this off. MISTAKE! This records kicks some major behind. Scentless Apprentice- you are a banger of a track. Awesome!
