1001 Albums Summary

A very interesting album, i like that the songs are long but don't feel like they overstay their welcome, great vibes all around. Quite similar to some other bands i listen to. I like the use of crowd sounds and unusual instrumentation. Not normally a fan of heavily electric music but this was a banger

Already knew this album well, never listened to it in full before, great experience 👍

Not my kind of music, i appreciate lyrics and i can't speak Spanish, i prefer slower music. Not saying it's bad just not my thing

Lyrics are what i appreciate most in music, sadly there was very limited of this here. I felt as though the songs all overstayed their welcome a bit... 12 minutes, while not the longest song ever is a bit mad for an instrumental. Still I can appreciate how good the instruments and playing is so it is rated high. Also not usually a jazz man but this did get me grooving occasionally. I will listen further into Zappa

Holy funky, this got me feelin the funk in my junk. Absolutely loved the concept of this album, 1st track was a very obvious stand out to me, I'm not normally a funk fan or at least I don't listen to it often but hell I'd rate it higher than 5 if I could

I sa lots of bad reviews for this album so I went in with very low hopes for it, i expected some absolute trash, this is not what I got. I thought it was a good album. Nothing too special and i don't think I will listen to more of them but yes i don't believe it deserved the amount of hate I saw in the other reviews.

This album has no reason to be 53 minutes long, just for nothing to happen. It was all very samey, which i appreciate in the smiths but this does not have as much personality. I often found myself bored, which is strange since there was just so much going on here, too much?

Great album. The Asian style instruments aren't really my thing though

That cover of Black magic woman was just the cherry on top, favorite Fleetwood Mac song, so amazing to hear a slightly different take on it. Loses a star for me because I love lyrics and this wasn't very heavy on lyrics

See i expected really great things from this, I like some of Paul Simon's music and I have heard great things about him. This was so dull. It felt like 2 hours. It felt a bit too classically 80s, like it was trying too hard to sound like an 80s album

Peak album, don't see why people don't like morrissey's voice, i quite like it. I know he is a horrible person but he can write some mean lyrics. Haters gonna hate

There were certainly some Flaming Grooves I experienced during this album. I've seen lots of reviews saying they have heard a lot of albums like this. I don't see why that is a reason to mark it down, it's good shit that's why it's here. 1001 is a lot of albums of course some are going to be similar. However i did think this one was a bit too long

I expected to not enjoy this, i expected it to be very typically 80s with no soul whatsoever. It was very typically 80s but i actually really enjoyed it (good for a bit of a dance)

I'm not normally a fan of this kind of stuff but it was kind of a vibe tbh.

I have heard about him, it is meant to be good stuff but i found it extremely repetitive, and a bit dull. And it was over an hour which was not necessary

Idk if i just like this because i was studying but it was so chill, o don't normally listen to jazz and i normally like lyrics most in a song, but this was enjoyable

Keep this shit coming man, as a ween fan I love all the weirdness of this, i love weird music and seeing the beauty and art hidden beneath it. And it is clear to see the beauty here. Good stuff mang!

I think the part of this experience i am enjoying most in listening to music from other cultures, i am loving this stuff

Peakness

That transition between Flick of the Wrist and Lilly of the valley is just so amazing. I used to be a huge Queen fan a few years ago but drifted away from them a bit recently, really refreshing to listen to my old favourite album again.

Decent enough album but it just got a bit boring after a while, by the asphalt world I was hoping it would end soon

Why is there so much Paul Simon, I get that he is a talented musician but holy shit i have gotten him like 4 times and I'm doing this for about two months. Although it was a decent album, o expected worse from his 80s stuff
