10/10, no bad songs. I loved it fully and completely. Fav songs: Hounds of Love, Jig of Life, Waking the Witch

Usually, I like jazz very much but this just felt like plain nonsense

Genuinely just a fun album to listen to. I originally didn’t know if I’d like the southern rock genre but this was just plain good vibes and funny lyricism that wasn’t obnoxious in the slightest. And don’t get my started on Free Bird. Of course it’s a banger everyone knows but taking the time to appreciate it after all the other songs for its full runtime is just so amazing.

It wasn’t horrible. It wasn’t awesome. It was just…there. I enjoyed his voice and it reminded me of someone else, maybe I’ve heard this album or some of its songs before. But in the end nothing really stuck out as super impactful. I listened to it throughout the day and some parts were enjoyable to sit back and listen to and others just felt like he was droning on. It’s by no means a terrible album and the reviews I’ve read are WAY too harsh but there is some truth in what they say. It’s a good night album if you like any background noise. Favorite tracks: White Ladder, My Oh My, This Year’s Love.

Imagine The Smiths had a drunk cousin in Boston. This is the Modern Lovers. Its an album that I would never turn on around someone because the singing has much to be desired for, but I'm a sucker for bad singers as long as the lyrics are written well and there is emotion. The only thing is that the lyrics don't always hit and neither does the emotion, but for the songs that are enjoyable they are very enjoyable. It is an overall 3/5, and I can definitely see why it was so pivotal to the punk genre but its much more of a stepping stone than a pillar.

It’s a low three. But it’s not nearly as bad as everyone thinks that it is it has really great guitar work and as horrible as Eric Clapton may be, I believe in separating art from the artist. The song little girl though is very creepy and I do not like it so that’s why it’s getting a very low three.

I genuinely have no idea why people don’t seem to like this. I find it to be a beautiful warm album that’s weird sure but it’s a blend of weird lyrics, psychedelic flutes, and acoustic guitars that created an overall enjoyable halfish hour or so album. The last song got weird fast though and it sounded like he had an orgasam half way through but even then I enjoyed the song. Good 4/5

This is not a good album. It was boring, bland, and unimaginative. And I mean I love Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl is a great guy and musician but this album was anything but “it.” From beginning to end I was hoping that there would be some sort of special song that would blow me away but everything felt like the kind of music that would play on “Rock Hard, Hard Rock Radio” and you’d turn on for your friends who listen to the most white chicken and rice with no seasoning pop music and wanted to get “adventurous.” And that’s my problem, this is just average. Its a dime a dozen record that was the debut of one of the most well known drummers of all time. And it’s featured as one of the albums you have to listen to before you die. No thanks, the only thing I was fighting was my boredom as I listened to this album. 1.7/5 Favorite Track: Floating.
