Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Apr 23 2026

Lots of sampling and inspiration from Atomic Dog apparently The bass and overall flow is on point but the lyrics I personally cant relate too less lol, basically the opposite kind of life that i lead and want to lead On that note though most of the lyrics are sexist/misogynist/objectifying as hell

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Apr 24 2026

Every song was very relaxed and chill but i dont know if i could have told any of them apart if i listened to them blind definitely something id play i the background of hanging with friends, probably stoned, but it'd feel weird to listen to it solo, for me anyway

Here's Little Richard by Little Richard
Apr 28 2026

Lots of classic American vibes, but ngl after about 4 songs they start to blend together and the basslines seem to be kinda the same

Sunshine Hit Me by The Bees
Apr 30 2026

Suchhhh a good flow and honestly i think im gonna add Punchbag and Angryman to my liked list, probably also A Minha Menina

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
May 01 2026

Wesley’s Theory, ok but didn’t necessarily do anything for me For Free? I wanna memorize so badly King Kunta is phenomenal to groove to These Walls was pretty good but I thought it could’ve sounded hotter Alright was hopeful and peak HMaDC was a really good story Fuckkk man, that last verse of Berry is crazy I love myself and i Mortal Man is humble and poetry, and it’s crazy that this album was written 3 years before George Floyd, I still don’t think we’ve seen a true riot or level of violence that Tupac describes is coming “next time” like what LA was experiencing at that time in the 90s. Overall, while there are a lot of songs that I can only think about externally and enjoy the sound of because I am both white and grew up affluently, this album clearly shows that Kendrick is a Virgil of his day and he is by far my favorite rapper

May 04 2026

Rolling, Rumour, Set Fire, and Someone definitely all deserved the hype they got back in the 2010s never knew there was a cure cover on that album, its really good tho

Hot Fuss by The Killers
May 05 2026

Less great songs than I remember as a kid tbh, but also a few that I quite like that don't seem to be liked by many people's. Overall still a very good debut album and I think probably their best

Hot Shots II by The Beta Band
May 07 2026

Hadn't heard them before but it feels like this could've been made in the 70s or today, their voices sound a lot like Parcels but with guitars like Pink Floyd

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
May 11 2026

Alr, My Sweet Lord has some great chords and is really catchy. Ok hey wait what was Harrison up to religiously in the 70s? Christian and Hindu syncretism? Is "wah-wah" pussy? I can only assume so, unless it's also used to mean trying to keep clear of sadness (like crying). Was he a sex addict? A few genuinely christian songs, I really wonder what weird blend of religion Harrison was up to at this time. A few good instrumentals in here as well, but not necessarily something I would pull up and listen to. I genuinely wonder what it is that puts me off from just a recording of a guitar jam

Southern Rock Opera by Drive-By Truckers
May 13 2026

if it wasn't about semi-recent events with a little talking storytelling put in, probably woulda been a 2, but its a 3 for me

Who's Next by The Who
May 29 2026

Quintessentially 70s/80s sounds, the lead singer's voice isn't quiiite there at times. Love Aint for Keeping was probably my favorite, Baba is ofc the most recognizable. Won't get Fooled Again was alr Getting in tune sucked, same with Behind Blue Eyes, that one sounded like a guy whining about people not liking him. Overall pretty good sound, I could've done with other lyrics tho, I wasn't really hit by any songs in particular.

Murmur by R.E.M.
Jun 01 2026

Radio free europe, sitting still, and west of the fields are all really cool sounding Overall a really unique sounding album, like Lynard Skynrd guitar, southern sounds, and a southern voice to match but some very punky and alternative vibes to it. I can see why my mom likes them so much, i would've loved them if i were around when she was coming up

1984 by Van Halen
Jun 02 2026

Some great guitar skills (holy harmonics), but it kinda struck me as immature, like Hot for Teacher sounds like its designed to be listened to by middle/high schoolers

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Jun 03 2026

Serious whiplash from the title track, guess i know where that comes from now lol. Super skilled all the way through, a good instrumental

Songs The Lord Taught Us by The Cramps
Jun 05 2026

"oh hey, this guy sounds like the "goo goo muck" guy", I said, naively super cool goth album, not sure how much i like that kind of mouth perpetually open style of singing but it certainly fits whoever's in the background of the false start interlude added at the end sounds like a dick lol

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Jul 10 2026

THAT'S who wrote "one way or another", ok, gotcha damn, she's got a great voice and these are ridiculously catchy

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Jul 13 2026

eh, listened to it once before, still not my thing. cool riffs tho, i see why its popular at least

OK Computer by Radiohead
Jul 14 2026

went out of my way to listen to the OKNOTOK remaster, partially bc of Man of War, but alos just bc this album slaps dude. Thanks Kyleigh for getting me to listen to more Radiohead

Third by Portishead
Jul 15 2026

really slow and trippy, the guitar bends at the end were a nice touch to leave you unsettled still think i like Glorybox better

Kenza by Khaled
Jul 16 2026

eh, jut not really interested in this one

Autobahn by Kraftwerk
Jul 17 2026

couldn't find this album

Amnesiac by Radiohead
Jul 20 2026

Honestly, most of it was kinda borning ngl. Knives Out and I Might be Wrong were great, and Pyramid Song too ig. Otherwise I wasn't too impressed
