16 Lovers Lane by The Go-Betweens

The band has a sound reminiscent of typical 80s indie British bands. In my opinion, "Was There Anything I Could Do?" is the best track. "Streets of Your Town" gave me a bit of an early Cranberries vibe, but I don't think it offers anything distinctive enough to be the most listened-to track on the album or by the band.

To a contemporary listener, this album may seem unoriginal, but I can see why it was perceived as fresh in the mid-70s, and how this sound has influenced US rock music since then. Too gringo for my taste tho so that's a 3/5
