This was dripping with 90s vibes, and the classic "You Oughta Know" was a hit even I recognized. A lot of emotional and clever metaphorical lyrics aimed at bad exes. Not my usual style, but it was a very interesting listeb nonetheless.
This was a fun listen. The super long track on the A-side was unexpected, but pretty cool. Interesting to learn this album was the tipping point for Rush. If it hadn't succeeded, they might've faded into obscurity. Very fun prog rock all in all, a joy to listen to.
This one was interesting. It's easy to see why David Bowie was as influential as he was. I often pay little attention to the lyrics, but this this time, I paid closer attention. Despite not being my favorite music from Bowie, I'm sure my opinion of this album would be higher if I had grown up around the time it came out. As it stands, I can only appreciate it for what it did.
Surprisingly good. And not much into ballads, but I listened to this in one sitting. Very soulful and interesting. Dusty's voice is alluring and powerful.
I'm not gonna lie, I didn't vibe with this much. It was fun as background noise. Maybe I should give it another shot some other day, but it didn't offer anything of substance to my tastes.
Really interesting piece of Jazz. I vibes with Track C a lot. Gives some noir vibes. The guitar parts were especially nice. Loved that flamenco.
This album might be one of Black Sabbath's best. It's got a good amount of hard metal songs, but also songs that leak into other genres. A very exploratory phase for them. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this, and it might be going in my playlist.
A certified classic. This album has jewels like Otherside, Scar Tissue, and Savior. Really great album that's as iconic as it gets. Chad Smith is a legendary drummer.
Nice rock n roll album. Pretty fun to listen to and work out to.
Very interesting. Tom Waits is more a lyricist than a singer, but this music was brilliant, different, and engaging. A fun listen, all in all
Peak Radiohead album. This is definitely one of their best. The whole album is a nice melancholy journey with some banger tracks in there.
Not really my thing. And interesting listen, nonetheless. I can feel how this has influenced and inspired newer indie music.
Had never heard of this artist an was surprised. I listened to this while fighting sleepiness and it was akin to that of visuals induced by thc. Some wild trippy visuals that the music magnified. I thoroughly enjoyed the journey.
Bruce Springsteen is one of those artists you always hear about in the cultural zeitgeist of the US. It is a very classic sound and familiar voice. The album was surprisingly heartfelt and melancholy. It was a fun listen. Lots of piano and guitar.
I had never heard of these people or this album, yet it was a welcoming surprise. Mostly a narrative album, which I usually struggle with, but the music itself was really interesting and mesmerizing. A pleasant journey, all in all.
I only like very few country singers, and Dwight Yoakam is now one of them. It was a pretty chill country album with clear Mexican rancheras influences. Will definitely listen to again when I'm in the mood for country, which is rarely.
One of my favorite Johnny Cash albums. Funny and full of bangers. A classic that I'll always remember.
The album feature was amazing. It was an incredible journey. Low key made me a fan of Jazz. It was amazing to hear it was a controversial release in it's day. I suppose people were averse to the idea of mixing rock elements into jazz. They were fools.
Kings of Leon are a specific mood. If you're not feeling that mood, it's hard to get into them. But if you're feeling it, you feeling it. And it was a very fun album once I was in the mood.
This was surprisingly good. A bit unexpected. A great debut album for this band. Felt a bit experimental, too. A pleasant experience, all in all.
